There’s no news. People are just going to draw their own conclusions based on their own biases. 
 

There’s a World Cup going on, deals are complex and we’ve shown in the past that we take a while to progress deals. I have no idea where we’re at and I’m not too bothered about that as I don’t think it will give us a strong indication of what our summer recruitment will look like. 
 

Last summer it was clear very quickly what a complete mess we were. Those signs aren’t present this time but it’s so early and there’s so much else going on that it’s impossible to draw any conclusions

That’s not all that goes into a transfer deal , loads of contractual things to agree to via agents / player / both clubs 

 

Plus all the logistics / medical / family relocation.
