Who knows what the timescale is ... and redevelopment has a real chance of reducing revenue in the short term which could trigger more player sales. Option 2 can’t just go ahead, we’d need to be somewhere for up to 2 years which would need to be agreed well before any plans were announced. This rebuild will reflect on PIF and ultimately on the KSA, so cost won’t be a factor. Currently infrastructure spending doesn’t count towards FFP/PSR. There is a debate on the interest on loans to fund it, but PIF will end up paying the contractors straight up.
