Like I have said, the current season ticket holders won’t give a fuck about the consequences of staying until their season tickets go up to £1,000, £1,500, and £2,000.

Are you implying you want that to happen if they won't budge?

She was a proper cunt. She was in locked with calling the lasses who did a podcast with Wraith for leaving his podcast when he started interviewing Stephen Yaxley Lennon. She was one of the main culprits of causing division within the fanbase at the time.

I’ve little sympathy for defenders of Tommy Five Names tbf, and Wraith is pretty much the biggest wanker in the fanbase

Is there any other fans forum where season ticket holders are actively loathed? It’s a bizarre trait of this place.

No, not at all.

I’m just saying that if we stay at SJP, then ticket prices will go up more than they would if we go to a new stadium.

What are you basing that on? Haven't checked recently but last time I did ticket prices have generally gone up with clubs that have moved.

They're going to go up significantly whether we stick or twist on the ground.  The argument for a new stadium in that regard would be that the increased corporate, commercial (including stadium sponsorship) as well as increased seating numbers) would allow the club to offer some of the tickets at a 'reduced' cost.  No guarantees on that front, of course.

This is the way football has been going for yonks, of course.  The support will be squeezed for every penny, and PSR makes this all the more likely.

Even at the time, that 10 year ambition freeze annoyed me. Not even keeping up with football inflation meant we were always going backwards on the pitch, yet it was applauded at the time by a lot in the press at the very least. And by a lot of fans to be fair.

I would genuinely have rather paid more each year if it was reinvested in the team, not knowing back then that it never would have been anyway, and then less of a shock when they eventually went up.

Point being, when prices go up drastically as they must, I wonder how many will walk away. I also wonder what our normal capacity would be in an average season once prices do get back to what they should have been.

Article in the ‘Ronnnniiiicurl about season ticket prices going up and NUST reckon there’s 10,000 people coming off long term deals at the end of this season

Mad that a penny pinching cunt like Ashley was willing to let so many have a fixed price for a decade in a market where prices were constantly rising and he could have been into some tidy inflationary bunce

Says all you need to know about how he was planning to let the club rot

The ground will sell out, but I don't doubt that there is likely to be a turnover of those who attend - I'd be surprised if all 10k people continue if their STs double in price.

Baffling there are fans on the deals actually not expecting their prices to match those not on deals.

Don't think anyone  thinks  that but everyone has a price  beyond which they'll say "no thanks"

It would probably be sensible if the club contacted everyone still on a deal and told them their tickets would be brought in to line with the standard price in that area from next season. Limit the inevitable whinging.

I mean common sense should obviously tell you that will be the case, but clearly that’s not always in use…

That's exactly what we are expecting. I expect pay to pay the same as the bloke who sits behind who isn't on the deal.

We got an email at the time.e of last seasons renewal to say it was the last season of the freeze.

Of course, and that’s what every sensible fair-minded fan in your position should expect.

Obviously, no-one would not accept it if it was somehow cheaper for them, but I’d be baffled by anyone that genuinely expects that.

I really don't think anyone will expect it.

Again though, based on what? This thread always seems to throw these things out there without anything to back it up.
