Man Utd's new stadium announcement will put extra pressure on PIF to get their arses into gear & get our stadium done. That is to be welcomed. There's no excuse for their stadium to be finished before ours.

Nah, I can't see that making any difference at all, Man Utds plan relies on finding the money, the conservative Labour government, Rat face actually getting a plan that works and the Glazers.

Far to many road blocks for that to go smoothly

Would rather we take our time to get it right than rush it through. It’s clear that progress is being made behind the scenes and as much as I would love to know officially what’s going on and whether we are staying or going, I’d rather know when there’s a solid plan in place.

Don’t see the point in a box ticking “consulting the fans” exercise.

I agree with this. Think it would be an incredibly difficult and time-consuming exercise due to so many opinions.

Make a decision, keep the fans informed, crack on.

Definitely. Especially when the only reason for doing it is to say they have.

Exactly, this is a 5-10 year project.  They have to take their time.

Take it with a pinch of salt, but I was speaking to one of the players yesterday, and they think it's going to be 10-12 years before a new stadium is complete.

Did they have a view on the feasibility of moving Leazers Terrace onto the tennis courts, brick by brick ?

Just in time for Isaks testimonial.

Whilst I enjoy hearing players opinions on football related things, land acquisition, planning permission, architectural design phases, structural engineering planning as well as working alongside local authorities and builders isn't necessarily their forte.

5 years should be the maximum amount of time. Even the Bernabau got done just under that amount of time (during Covid, whether that's a plus or minus)

75k is the magic number

Strong chance I'll be dead by then. Might get my ashes scattered on the 5th tier concourse. Bairn can fill his pockets with carbon me then pull the string he's tied up holes he made in them.

Ashes will simply fall out the bottom of his bell bottomed trousers and no one will be any the wiser. A la The Great Escape.

If that's what gets announced this year then I'd wager it will never happen at all.

Five years for a new build? No chance.

It took nearly 10 years to get from initial planning stage to them actually starting the redevelopment of it.
