I think they are just limited on space really. Unless you extent into Shearers, there isn’t anywhere else to go.

They should really have kept one of the containers in the Stack back for a small club kiosk with the best selling items.

i'm surprised they never extended the ground floor further out onto the pavement.

They will need space for people before and after the match.

Maybe the wrong thread but anyone know where I can get a poppy style badge with the club logo ? It's always sold out online.

Just further to my earlier response. The club store has them in stock in little pots on the down stairs tills (the actual tills, not the queueing system shelves), they are in a matchbox like piece of card.

Yep I spotted them and got one with my shirt! Thanks again!

I wonder if Craig Hope's latest article is the club laying the ground to build a new stadium?

Or if you want to be really cynical, he's heard we aren't moving and he's laying the ground for him to be able to rail against the ambition of the club's ownership for months to come.

Including that stupid fucking AI image in that collage.

Just feeds on the gullible and highly strung, that bloke. Almost as bad as the thumbnails on his YouTube.

These ‘polls’, like the one Hope conducted, are utterly pointless when no one knows what the options genuinely are.

Staying at renovated SJP might not be palatable for many if it’s only renovated to 60k, but what if it was somehow 80k?

Even moving, and tbf to Hope he did state this was on the assumption of it being Leazes Park, you’d surely want to see designs of a new stadium before definitely deciding that was for the best.

I said this from the start.

Ask someone if they want to move away from SJP and they say no.

Show them a picture of a new stadium, decent capacity, located on Castle Leazes/Leazes Park and then ask them.

Ask a season ticket holder if they are willing to pay £1,000, or £1,500 for their season ticket, or move and pay somewhat similar to what they are paying?

Ask a season ticket holder if they are willing to go 2/3 years without going to games, or move to Castle Leazes/Leazes Park?

The dynamic changes when there is an actual alternative, and also when someone is asked to make a sacrifice in order to keep it as it is.

If we are shopping for stadiums with £1 billion in our back pockets, I think I'll have this one.

It was great when it opened, but I think there has been better built since then.

Also, it looks too much like Monkseaton High School.

I remember watching a documentation of it’s building, and the architect wanted it so the support beams in side the concourses were perfectly aligned, so if you saw 1, you never saw the others behind it.

He was disappointed when the engineers came along and fucked it up, and they were not perfectly aligned, or even anywhere near it.
