So much about our club (off the pitch, at least) is just wrong, and completely disregards and vandalises the heritage and tradition of this great club. The Sports Direct Arena? f*** off. The only saving grace for Ashley as it stands is our league standing. Should that deteriorate then, as the nature of Newcastle United is, things could get quite restless imo. Christ sake even clubs like Wigan and Blackburn have more class than us when it comes to this.. wigan had the JJB for years I know but there situation is a bit different to ours, and I think Whelan went about things with a bit more class/consideration. Aye, we all knew, in the back of our minds, that the sign was going to be removed at some point. But the sign was left untouched for almost 4 months. It was almost as if it was actually going to stay (in my mind anyway) but now this sudden realisation that it is properly gone does hurt. Guess it's the case for me that, reality hurts.
