AyeDubbleYoo
It probably looked canny big in the shop tbf. You should always buy a slightly bigger TV than you think you need, that's basic.
Bowie
If Ashley ever leaves, imagine just how fucking liberating it would feel ripping out every trace of Sports Direct from the stadium. And burning it all, definitely burn it all.

Guest firetotheworks
There'll an indelible mark when they're removed. Every time I've thought about writing an article about it, that's the sort of easy analogy that I was going to start with.

How fucking petty/cheap do we have to be man. you have to ask? again as santoon said, in a way fuck them like no-one else gets free attendance, gets paid to watch the match and free food on top but it's just a wider symptom of the man being a total cheap cunt
Wallace
But why? The money saved will be peanuts. They don't like bad press but they go out of their way to rub the press up the wrong way. It is just so incredibly petty and pointless and yet another example of how mean-spirited and spiteful this club has become. I have often wondered why the journalists don't get as equally petty. They say that one of the club's issues is that the newspapers don't pay for access but you could argue that the club do get a lot of "free" advertising so I think the print media should make a point of never referencing Sports Direct in their articles and only use photos from away grounds so Sports Direct is not present in the background (which is an impossibility with photos from home games). BlueStar
Couldn't care less about them me. They've written plenty of pro pardew stuff, and let Ashley take the piss without saying anything. No time for them But it's not just journos, there's photographers, sound guys, cameramen etc as well, who can hardly be accused of having an agenda. If fact the photographers have always been keen to get shots of any protest or dissent.

We are mean spirited and spiteful because it reflects the type of person who owns us. But why should Ashley care,he is making loads of money off United, he gets a stack of free advertising and the fans are mainly docile and compliant. He's won. NG32
Its really simple. Only spend on essentials. Player purchase funded by player sales. Everything else disappears into some hidden kitty. Why spend the money on extending the stadium when he doesnt need to. Just by keeping nufc in the league spins money
Interpolic
Ashley confirms decision to sell off Newcastle United’s future. http://www.themag.co.uk/the-mag-articles/mike-ashley-confirms-decision-sell-newcastle-uniteds-future/ This is the most scandalous thing he's done to the club IMO and it's getting almost zero coverage. Selling off the long term future of the club for minor short term gains. It's absolutely fucking despicable.
Decky
The club actually owns that land? I always thought it was council owned. Edit: I see it's just the lease that the club holds.
timeEd32
This is how you install a new screen. Four sides, HD, curved for optimal viewing angles, and huge considering it's in an arena. We suck. http://imgick.cleveland.com/home/cleve-media/width620/img/cavs_impact/photo/16190673-mmmain.png
Stifler
Since we don't have a roof over the pitch and the 4 stands aren't the same size just exactly how are we going to have a screen in the middle? Holding it up by cables won't work because of the lopsided stands so it won't be straight, and even if there was a way around that it would mean people in level 7 will have a huge overview of screen instead of a pitch. The best option would have been not to stick a fucking screen up and only put it up temporarily for the Rugby World Cup.
