chrisfarrar
How about this for a front 3 for next season The pace there would be hard to defend against, if they all stay fit. Owen Martins Dyer
oldtype
Three up front will require an excellent playmaker and two commanding holding midfielders to get going. Assuming Parker gets back to being useful next season, that's still two players we haven't got.
Dokko
Could think of better, especially in the air. Suppose it will all be ground work, so no wingers with a 3 man mid, putting immense pressure on our fullbakcs which are currently Babayaro & Carr. Sounds class. Guest Alan Shearer 9
with a defensive mid (Parker) and two centre mids/playmakers it would work however our midfield is about as creative as the writers for Scary Movie films

The College Dropout
I don't really think it would work, same with the Oba/Owen partnership. All players better at running in behind rather than taking a man on.

This may sound a stupid question, but I don't know, I haven't seen much of one of them, and obviously even less of the other, but if you had to get rid of one as they couldn't play together, who would it be, a fit Owen, or Martins? I'd keep them both. It isn't like Owen is going to play 38 games. Maybe with his perma injury, Shay will learn how to throw a ball or pass it short. Christ, that is a tough question. Do we take the loss on Owen or make profit on Martins? Then, on the other hand, Owen has maybe 4 quality years in him and Oba has at least double that. I guess, going on that, I'd sell Owen. It's just so hard to let someone of his quality go, however. I'd keep both for the forseable future.
STM
4-5-1 does not work for teams unless their manager has a brain. Lets stick to 4-4-2, man utd have proved it can still be a success. The only time i'd like to see that used is if we are away from home against good teams. So without further ado: Butt Emre Milner Duff Martins Owen

Impossible to say at the moment. There's no way of knowing whether or not Owen will come back as the same player, or how many games he'll be able to play in a row. They're very different players as well, and it would also have to depend on how they could play with our only other striker - and neither of them have had a decent run in the team with him yet. Toon_Crazy
We need to sort the defence badly for next year, 2 new centra halves, rotate Taylor and the two new ones. 2 new full backs! Then think about the rest of the team!!

Nobody
We need to have a massive clearout this summer. Get these out: BRAMBLE MOORE RAMAGE SRNICEK PATTISON BERNARD GOOCH O'BRIEN - On loan HUNTY - On loan CARROLL - On loan EDGAR - On loan Keep Srnicek and send Krul and Pattison out on loan. Doubt that Pav is on any significant wage anyway, Krul needs 1st team experience and we could probably get more out of Pattison if he was on loan before we sold him. He's not all cack as a CM, tbh.
