Guest Peter.Sthlm
Allardyce really is the point on the graph where the lines "chances of newcastle landing him" and "managerial ability" cross. Mancini or Sven or whomever I think we've got no shot at and alternatives are worse. Don't agree with you. I saw Sven in an interview on TV (Swedish channel) a couple of weeks ago where he gave the impression that he really wanted a job in England rather than any other place in Europe. He also said that he's fed up with being unemployed and want's back in the game as soon as possible. I've also seen Tord Grip saying that he thinks Sven will end up in a English club. So If we really wanted Sven than he would take the job with out a doubt. Though some say he's waiting to take over our national team after Euro 08... But he's never confirmd that. Guest redmayne
Oliver loves to scotch a tabloid rumour, so the fact that he hasnt poured cold water on this one speaks volumes. I hope. Even that thick twat must have removed his tongue from roeders arse by now
Nobody
Do you believe he'll be here next season? Not what you hope, like or whatever, but what you THINK? I can't see it happening myself, I'm sure that FS will stick to the "fans favourite" for a while into next season and when more and more talk about "we should have gotten Sam" is heard, he'll sack Roeder without anyone to bring in (as Sam's got a new job by then)

English media today had quotes from him saying he was bored and wouldn't mind the job at a top English club.

G there is too much development at too many clubs atm, FS realises we're going to get left behind even by the likes of Villa and Everton. Spurs are ahead of us already. johnnypd
Would allardyce's backroom staff be accompanying him? he employs 21 full time specialists, without them he may be much less effective, O'Neill without Robertson and Walford, or Dalglish without Harford, for instance. Though, if Allardyce is given carte blanche to bring in whoever he wants and revolutionise the running of the club from the top to bottom, he'd be a very good choice as manager. Doubt it, as his number 2 is now the manager of Bolton.

wibble
This is killing me. Normally, I can't wait for the season to start. Now I just wish it was all over with so we can see if Freddy will (yet again) pull the trigger or back Roeder.

Largely due to all of this Geordie nation stuff... he's already dubbed Roeder an adopted Geordie, and he knows that someone like him gives him the best chance of his dreamy team-of-eleven-geordies. Plus, he's already promised to give him the players he wants in the summer. He'll sack him 10 games-ish into next season, i reckon.
