The Bonk
Real look really strong this season! I think on paper Bayern Munich's first team is stronger. Oliver Kahn Willy Sagnol, Lúcio, Daniel Van Buyten, Philipp Lahm (Marcell Jansen) Franck Ribéry, Zé Roberto, Mark van Bommel, Bastian Schweinsteiger (Martín Demichelis, Hamit Altıntop) Luca Toni, Miroslav Klose (Lukas Podolski) It really isnt. Casillas Ramos Cannavaro Pepe Heinze (Metzelder, Marcelo) Robben Diarra Sneijder Drenthe (Guti, Gago) Robinho RVN (Saviola, Raul) They're both class, tbh. Both have nowt on the Toon, though. Delima
Means nowt thought doesn't it? Last year Chelsea brought in Cole, Shevchenko & Ballack, everyone thought they'd walk it. This year Manu bring in Hargreaves, Nani, Anderson & Tevez, and 3 games in can't buy a win! Crazy how football works out sometime. Different situations though. There weren't any quality alternative to Shevchenko and Ballack. So if they flop Chelsea would suffer. Ashley Cole was injured for the majority of the season, so was Wayne Bridge. Man U bought Nani, Anderson, Hargreaves and Tevez. 3 games into the season they have been constantly producing excellent attacking football, they just couldn't find the net. Rooney was injured in the first game, no one would have expected that and Tevez wasn't even on the bench. Ronaldo was suspended, and Nani slotted in very nicely. Anderson isn't meant to be playing so soon, and he hasn't played yet. Hargreaves produced a very very competent display against Man City. Only a freak deflecting goal and wasteful forwards denied them a draw or a victory. Unlike wasteful Arsenal last year which looked thin when key players were injured, wasteful Man Utd have the sufficient depth to counter the very unexpected loss of Rooney and Ronaldo. And it is down to good transfer dealings.

Delima
It really isnt. Casillas Ramos Cannavaro Pepe Heinze (Metzelder, Marcelo) Robben Diarra Sneijder Drenthe (Guti, Gago) Robinho RVN (Saviola, Raul) Gotta disagree with you here. Cannavaro is getting old and slow. Robben is better off at left wing. Drenthe is a left full back by trade and came to fame against U21 players as left winger.

Fugazi
What will be Barca's first-choice XI? Valdes Zambrotta Milito Puyol Abidal Xavi/Iniesta Toure Ronaldinho Messi Henry Eto'o Or is that bollocks?
Unlucky Luque
What will be Barca's first-choice XI? Valdes Zambrotta Milito Puyol Abidal Xavi/Iniesta Toure Ronaldinho Messi Henry Eto'o Or is that bollocks? Think it might be more like this: Valdes Zambrotta Milito Puyol Abidal Xavi/Iniesta Toure Messi Ronaldinho Henry Eto'o Brazil style, since that fits both strikers in up front and so their very attacking wing backs get forward alot. Mowen
SSN Breaking News.... 'Andy Cole to have a Medical at Sunderland today' mackems.gif Could turn out to be a useful signing for them. If he chips in with 5-10 goals he could well keep them up. I was an advocate of us signing him last season: he's not good enough but would have been better than Sib, and Martins could have learnt a bit from him about how to use his pace. Karjala
Cole got 4 goals for Pompey last season, after a 500k transfer. They got shot of him at the end of the season.... If they get him, when fully fit, they'll have a good side IMO. Schwarzer Young Woodgate Pogatetz Taylor Tuncay Riquelme Boateng Downing Mido Aliadiere Top half team. Shame their back line is never fit.

NSG
Taylor is highly rated and the Pog is dubious at LB, much better in the middle.
KaKa
Taylor is highly rated and the Pog is dubious at LB, much better in the middle. Fair enough. Can't say I've ever paid too much attention to Pog so I wouldn't know. I do know he has a tendency to break his nose every couple of months. Is Huth still alive by the way? His injury record has been worse than Woodgates!

McCormick
it would really be a kick in the nads if boro sign riquelme.. we're the ones that need a creative midfielder; and if he really is considering a move to boro we'd have easily gotten him.
