  2. Remarkably unimaginative and, I imagine, expensive
  3. Exactly. The only way for any other team to consistently get top 6-like revenue.... is to consistently finish in the top 6. Therefore, having an extended period of losses and/or overperformance. That's true of us and Villa. We can accelerate revenues through dodgy sponsorships up to a point but that's still reliant on overperformance on the pitch. This is why I adovocate pushing hard in the transfer market this season to compound last years CL success. CL is £50m per year in cash and indirectly worth loads in sponsorships. Main thing is qualifying for that back-to-back and only missing seasons by exception. The revenues will follow.
  4. At what point can we start to command the same price, as fair market value, for our sponsorship deals as the "cartel clubs", even if they are related to PIF? Surely we can make a case to charge the same as Man U and Spurs given our league finishes over the last few years and winning the cup? I'd be fairly confident that we'd win any court case and I'm also sure a costly legal battle is the last thing the PL would want.
  5. I think the biggest shame in all of this is that we as fans have become so hung up about the price we pay for a player, it’s soul destroying. IMO, Elanga will absolutely improve the team, suits our style of play and has potential to get better too. The irony is that the football world has become obsessed with PSR and all the shite that comes with it….ive literally just finished a conversation with an Everton fan and it was pretty much the first thing he was able to talk about (their position). I hope we sign Elanga, couldn’t give a fuck how much for as I trust the club and Eddie enough to do the right thing…also, whatever the price is, it’ll be less…Forest are bullshitters of the highest order.
  6. If it was anyone other that gimpy bald nonce reporting it, I may have sat up slightly in my seat
  7. We'd be going some of we managed to get all three of them in by early July. Would be fantastic. Surely Trafford at the very least is plausible.
  8. Those bids have already been rejected Luke and you know they have.

  14. Don’t think it will happen, but Trafford, Guehi, Elanga and Pedro would be a remarkable transfer window.
  15. A new ground in 2030 may help, but we'd pretty much end up in the Villa situation if we wanted a squad capable of domestic and Europe competition every season, would we not?
  16. It's nothing new, but still nice to have an embedded tweet on this thread.
  17. Yeah, his change of plan usually involves changing the formation and moving players into different positions and roles. But his underlying philosophy and approach is what it is, as is the case with most managers. Don't think he's looking to change that, which is seemingly what some people would prefer.
  18. Arrivals will not guarantee exits - this is interesting. So if we have exits that surely means room for additional signings?
