  2. Big Alex sticking the boot in. Seems to be mixed reports on whether we moved for Mbuemo or by the time we did he'd already picked Man United, not that it really matters like.
  3. Tried to get an AI to do me a picture of Lee Bowyer in a skirt, but the AI said I was a sick bastard.

    Lewis Hall

Don't think it was ever specifically stated, but apparently it required an operation to avoid affecting the rest of his career.
  5. Bollocks you're trying to say he was injured since January. Last couple of months yes. Howe didn't say shit until the end of the season. The main point though is that he was injured the last couple of month, then you certainly don't want. DCL as his replacement. As for penalties that's part and parcel of a striker's game. Let's take them of Salah's, Harland's or even Shearer's totals
  6. Decent player, no doubt but not top, top level and has dick-like tendencies. Not that disappointed tbh
  7. I don't mind if we're careful, with the game so rigged in favour of the scummy six we have to be smart. We can't afford to waste money, when we're trying fight with two arms tied behind our backs.
  8. Meh, I convinced myself he'd be good for us, but in all honesty he doesn't look like a £60m player to me. I know the market is crazy, but surely there is better value to be had elsewhere
  9. Any chance you cunts could maybe find the checkbook?
  10. Well i'm being at bit more expansive than that, i'm thinking a nice player who can play both wide and up top. As yet unnamed, but i don't doubt we'll have someone lined up.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

I really thought we were going to spring into action after the Everton game and splurge
  12. With a packet of sweets and a cheeky smile Rixy is a fucking …….. Remember our fans singing that randomly on the super tram when we beat Sheff Wed 2-0 back in 1999. Think it was the day Shearer announced he was retiring from international football after Euro 2000.
  13. I'm looking at it this way, we didn't get Ekitike, we went and got Isak. We didn't get Pedro, we went and got ??????? Prefer it that way, keeps me happy.
  14. Yeah was surprised they went for him after they secured the Francis Jeffers and John Solako deals
  15. Rumours abound a personal intervention from Graham Rix got it over the line.
  16. I've been banging this drum for a while but I hope our failure to land Perdo leads to a slight tweak in what appears to be our strategy. We already know our starting XI is a match for anyone, we've seen it plenty of times. A quality starter at RW would be an obvious upgrade and a new CB would be ideal due to Schar & Burn being the wrong side of 30 but otherwise I think our best XI is brilliant. The problem is the drop off as soon as one of our key players gets injured. Schar/Burn/Botman isn't bad and Barnes is a good backup to Gordon but aside from that we're miles off it. Obviously bringing players in who aren't fancied by our rivals (eg recent injuries, form) because they are available for less financial outlay is a risk, but so is leaving us short on depth heading into a PL/Champions League season. If we could bring in an immediate starter at RW and then spread the rest of the budget across CB, CM and CF - players who aren't going to walk straight into the side but offer a solid alternative to flogging Bruno, Tonali and Isak three times a week then I'd be happy with that.
  17. I’m not hammering their efforts in signing players, they’re amazing at it, the best. I’m hammering the fact that they’ve now built such a sustainable model that they could actually try and build towards winning things and being a CL contender regularly but nah, why do that when you can get on your knees and put Todd’s sagging balls in your mouth?
  18. Can see the attraction, young player gets to move back to London, earn a lot more money and if worst comes to worst he can leave in 12 months with 6 years of increased payments from a club he's no longer attached to. The chance to sign him has fallen by the way side twice now like with Ekitike, on to the next one
  19. I guess the argument though, and I do seem to be picking on your posts tonight , is that if they're able to make this much money from this model then it implies we should also be able to get this quality of player in on a smaller budget. I get the need for short termism given the demands next season but there's something to be said for bringing in the cheaper player who we'll develop. Our most recent examples are Hall and Livramento but we paid too dollar for them.
  20. Mate is a die hard Brighton fan and even before the Chelsea link he was saying Pedro isn’t even a top 3 player at Brighton. He’s great as a second striker and creating space but isn’t really clinical himself. Don’t think he really be a miss at Brighton
  21. Sending scouts to watch Emerton and Barnetta later this week
