He knows ball. To be fair to him I think he does actually know the game pretty well, always an informative and thoughtful read.
-
Just came across this again. People in football ye knaa
-
It is? Who would you bring in?
-
Man Utd are a money making machine that has to be respected. Is Rat Boy currently sacking all these people
-
Agreed - it’s very noticeable he’s better on the left. Was it because he only had Murphy in front of him on the right?! Not sure. Regardless - if he stays, brilliant. If he leaves for a lot of money, then we have Hall at left back and can get a cheap enough right defender. It’s one of the easiest positions to replace.
-
I love Barnes myself and would hope not but both Pedro and Elanga can cover that position. I don't know, just get the impression even when Barnes was in great form he was always one bad performance away from being dropped and he'd always be the one shifted over to the right despite being totally ineffective there.
-
Yeah, talk of this has started doing the rounds. Once Man Utd put in that lower bid and were taking their time, and Frank was confirmed at Spurs, I mentioned that I wouldn't be surprised if this happened. Levy loves a hijack, and he'd easily pay that £60 million Brentford want, with the Champions League money secured and having hired the man that got the best out of Mbeumo. He also paid similar for Solanke last year without much hesitation. Could get very interesting.
-
Still has to improve his final ball but everything else about his game is near enough perfect. It is strange how he's noticeably better on the left, though.
-
A club £600,000,000 in debt being allowed to spend another £100,000,000+ is nuts.
-
He's brilliant going forward. Has that ability of being able to carry the ball half the length the pitch and give it to a team mate. Massive quality to have .
-
Spurs in for Mbuemo apparently.
-
I’d be disappointed, we’d finally get to the point of having real depth out wide (assuming we sign a RW) only to lose it instantly. If we need to make a sale I think there are better options. Let’s not forget this guy took Gordon’s spot and held it from him.
-
Yeah, they're both excellent young full backs in different ways. Always been more of a Tino guy, because I love his ability to just shut down opposing wingers, which is so easy to overlook. Also think we haven't seen his full potential unlocked going forward down that right side, because of the players we've used ahead of him on the wing, as they don't combine well with an overlapping full back.
-
These things. Creepy as hell. https://www.facebook.com/share/r/14GARuDsvJR/
-
I'd be devastated if we sold Tino this summer like.
-
Full disclosure I didn't watch the game but can anyone give a single argument for Henderson playing in this game and being in this squad. I'm not that invested in England so I don't really care but I honestly can think of a single good reason.
-
100% he's the smart move. For Pedro, Elanga et al you pay a 10 million plus premium. With him you have a good chance of getting him 5 million or more under value as Chelsea are spoilt toddlers with shiny-new-shite syndrome. And all the arguments about Howe improving players for signing Elanga and Pedro still apply.
-
Tino is probably the best one on one defensive fullback in the league. Definitely don’t want to sell, but I don’t really want to sell anyone except the shit lads.
-
We shouldn't be selling anyone that's held down a place at times last season imo. Just means they'll need replaced too. Opposite of strengthening.
-
Tino is a much better defender than Hall, he’s also got pace which Hall will never have. If we’re talking about better on the ball, Hall wins hands down, but always worry about him when he’s up against a pacy winger.
-
Perhaps you're right, I just don't entertain the idea of selling him.
-
We should keep Gordon but if a really good offer comes in then we should be open to it as well.
-
It'll be tough to make a profit on him.
