Yep, guaranteed Europa if Forest lose, and we'll be pretty much there if they draw. Not impossible with 3 games to play, but hard to see an effective 12 goal difference being overturned with 1 Forest win and 2 Newcastle defeats.

A 2nd division team are on the final though.

With us, Palace and Bologna it's been a great season for clubs who actually appreciate winning trophies winning them. Probably a bit too much for 3rd tier Bielefeld to also win the German Cup.

Must admit, much easier to watch those scenes now that we've won a trophy too, used to break my heart seeing fans like Palaces celebrating and wishing it was us. Now we've done it and know what it's like it's nice to see fans having their moment of unbridled joy.

I disagree. Goalkeeper is a unique position. I think there are maybe 2 GKs in the league that are as good as Pope at everything he’s good at and better at his weaknesses. I think we are likely to get a keeper who is better in some ways but inferior in others. Tonali is better than Longstaff at everything pretty much. Theres not many GKs that are better than Pope at everything.

There are a few reasons to dislike every club but the palace fans I know from working down in London are all decent football guys who love their club despite winning fk all for all these years
