The issue is that their income over the 3-year cycle (including this coming season) is miles behind everyone else. Burnley will still have their 23/24 PL income included in their calculation and the closest would be Leeds because they were also outside of the PL in 23/24 and 24/25 but their income is considerably higher than Sunderland's regardless. Although they aren't losing a huge amount compared to a lot of clubs, they also aren't allowed to lose as much because of those two seasons in the EFL. They've also got the same issue as us - namely that they can't afford to sell anyone worth any reasonable amount without also having to replace them. They could sell Bellingham for a decent wedge but then you're already one starting CM down before you've kicked a ball. Ultimately it'll depend on what the ambition of the owner is. They could go for it, take the risk and spend £100-150m or he could just bank the extra £100m+ income from a season in the PL, plus the parachute payments and aim to be a yo-yo club.

Six points taken off Wolves? Pretty sure they were a solid Top 10 in points gained after they jettisoned Gary O’Neil. Again, the Mackems have been away from the top flight too long that they don’t understand anything going on other than our games which they obsessively slavver on about.
-
You’ve got to be an oddball to predict the result for every game next season!
-
Funniest thing about this is that he thinks they won’t concede four in a game all season.
-
I don't think it's the top 7 Sunderland should worried about, those games are almost free hits for them, it's the Brighton, Bournemouth, Palace, Brentford Wolves ect. Those teams are just machines that can beat anyone on their day. I can't see anything but carnage for Sunderland this season.

Any news on Kuol? Hoping he finally gets a decent loan this summer.
-
During half term?! We’re paying him too much, how is he affording a trip during school holidays? he should have waited a few days and the prices would have gone right down hope it’s not been taken out of the transfer fund…
-
He certainly underrated by me i think he's shite, Vardy would score more in that team
-
I actually don't think any of their players would get into any of the premier sides full stop, never mind us. Didn't watch Leeds or Burnley a lot, but they did finish 24 points behind them.
-
Also a good chance they're being cunts and buying Delap to sell Delap. He's worth more than £30m in this market, and I wouldn't be surprised to see Chelsea sell him next summer for £45m.
-
They’re linked with Gyokeres this morning. Uncle Infantino’s Crooked Cash Club Cup and the PL’s blind eye turning to past agent bungs from Abramovic and accounting loopholes allowing the soulless player puppy farm to continue their carousel fraud.
-
God forbid something happens to Tonali or Bruno. But considering that Eddie even changed formations to avoid using one of our backup CMs I think he is probably well aware of the need we have of more quality depth there.
-
None is the correct answer.
-
Gasperini at Roma will be interesting.
-
Promotion one definitely, in hindsight new ownership is open to abuse. You could definitely see someone like Chelsea going from being owned by BlueCo, to BluePlc, to BlueInc, etc every year.
-
And that's not including Gordon, Botman and Hall, who will be in our first 11 come the start of the season
-
Correct but they have a buying players addiction so nobody would be shocked if they bought another.
-
Chelsea only have Jackson as a striker don't they? They'll be in 4 competitions next season. Delap will get plenty of playing time and he probably backs himself to take over the starting role from Jackson.
-
This is a bit of an issue mind, thanks for sharing these numbers I thought he missed a few games but 37% is a lot.
-
-
Two losses against the mags. He'll be getting pelters.
-
Total games played by Newcastle over both seasons: 51 + 48 = 99 games Percentage of Games Missed: (37 games missed / 99 total games) * 100% = 37.37% Therefore, Joelinton has missed 37 games through injury at Newcastle over the last two seasons (23/24 and 24/25), which equates to 37.37% of Newcastle's total games in that period.
-
No mention of a CM in these articles, really hope we do get one, necessity imo, I seen somewhere Joelinton has missed 36% of matches the last 2 years
-
Pretty sure Eddie can be on holiday and also use a telephone if required, like.
-
No mags in this XI marra.
