  1. Past hour
  2. Wouldn't be a fan of bringing in DCL, I just don't think he's all that good from what I've seen. But, I could be OK with it if the club sees something that I don't but more importantly because he plays like a striker, even a not particularly good one. To explain, before Wood came in, the team shape was all over the place without having someone properly up front. Even though he didn't work for us in terms of goals etc, he was pivotal in terms of changing the team shape allowing goals to come from other areas and in that way pretty critical to our upturn in form. Similarly then, if Isak is out for a while or needs a rest, maybe DCL could fill that role. Like I say, I wouldn't want him personally but if we strengthen elsewhere then maybe it wouldn't be so bad.
  3. Morning, just popping back to say that I don’t think you should be to sorry to have missed out on this one. I said before that i was happy to see Pedro leave and was hoping he would go to Chelsea not NUFC as I think he is more likely to disappoint and given that Chelsea see us as their (very expensive!) feeder club and they’re just a horrible club with the most ignorant and entitled fans, it’s worked out well. I suspect NUFC will be able to make better use of £60M elsewhere. Best wishes and I hope you have a great season!
  4. he is being let down, massively, again.
  5. You really have no idea about the clubs business though!
  6. We could stick that Santa Claus fella from the dressing room pictures up front and he'd be as much use as DCL. I'd genuinely rather play without a striker and hoy another body on in midfield than have that useless waste of space playing for us.
  7. Doesn't take into account the spoilt brat element who think they know everything and we should follow their Champ manager template coz it's really that easy don't you know!

Huh? Surely if they are slow it’s because there’s multiple layers of management signoff needed, etc. I.e. a rigid process regardless of urgency or circumstance, for better or worse.
  10. Which is, and I know you know this, another legacy for us of having been run on a shoestring for so long and having few saleable assets when PIF came in.
  11. Again, why can’t teams challenge this in court ? i know there is a rule saying teams can’t take legal action against the PL, so in that context are we saying that PL rules trump actual law ? Surely not.
  12. DCL? Last year there were rumours we were asking about him. Again, clearly we are interested. But maybe they should ask you to find us this quality striker. https://www.skysports.com/transfer/news/12691/13158077/dominic-calvert-lewin-newcastle-end-transfer-talks-for-everton-striker
  13. Can any one spot the comfort blankets in this thread https://www.readytogo.net/smb/threads/joao-pedro-to-chelsea.1659076/page-3

  15. £55m +5m or whatever is being reported this morning is too much for him and what he improves for us. It might be a poor comparison but if you look at the type of players City have signed for less or similar money from Europe this summer we need to fuck off this Premier League market.
  16. I mean it’s all down to their stunning intellect, rather than the fact their entire country is an oilfield obviously
  17. He's worse than Bruno and Joelinton put together 🤣 We have enough of Brazilians who cant shoot.
  18. At this point it feel like they’re acting like the Old Firm north of the border, just hoover up all players who might be good in order to stifle competition. They honestly should’ve been nailed to the wall by the PL for the irregularities found from Roman's era, never mind the shit they’re pulling now.

It sounded like a club breif. The local lads all reported it at around the same time.
  20. They'd be absolute trillionaires rather than just piddly billionaires if they were quicker. Idiots.

Absolutely hate that term "process-driven," seems an easy excuse to use for how slow they are.

Do we believe the Journos who said an announcement was literally ready before the end of the season?
  24. The Prophet

    Paul Mitchell

Clearly it's come onto play with the stadium announcement.

Aye it is, but it often repeated and appears to relate all decisions they make.
