    Aye well that's because he's a RB.
  3. No, he's even parked at the coffee machine or colouring cells on spreadsheets.
  4. Journalists fabricate most of their football stories whether it’s positive or negative claims, they just make up lies for clicks I reckon 10% of what they report has some basis in reality
  5. I'll say it again. We must have made fantastic money from the cup win. It should equate to millions from merch, collectibles, garments. Fans loading up. Not to mention sponsorship bonuses etc. We've not really spent a cent in 2 years. We have a guaranteed CL cash injection. Just get the deals done, Mags.
  6. Can't win. People moaning they want and update and cry on when it's not good news. He's a journalist who reports on the info he's been given. His jobs not to withhold negative news.
  7. Assume probably a more professional sound board at this point, so involved for his experience but not the primary lead. Because how can he be? Can’t leave when mid progress on a deal.
  8. He played RB up until Halls injury. Majority of the season.

    England

You reckon Thomas has taken a big back hander from the German Football Federation to keep us a total irrelevance at the highest level? How else can you explain Henderson starting, Curtis Jones at RB and James at LB?
  10. Do people on here think he's actually still in charge of negotiating transfers and contracts? Would there not be a chance of conflict of interests given he must have some other job in mind if he's leaving at the end of the month.
  11. A 10 semi replaces a the need for a CM. I would be content with Ross Barkley or Doucoure type singing for free or peanuts. Id love Ederson, JP, Elanga and Guehi. Thats a squad that can get to the QFs of the CL and get 75 points in the league. With a bit of luck that side can challenge for a title 80-85 points.

Agree. People are quick to rebrand him as a LB because he performed well there, but given a run at RB he would be even better in that position.
  13. Cant see loan signings and Eddie Howe fitting together. No need to waste Eddie's ability to improve players on someone we aren't going to keep.
  14. Have we shown any real interest in Madueke? Left footed right winger who can also play on the left where Chelsea have shoved him with Neto on the right. If Gittens comes in he'll probably get less game time. Rather Madueke than Elanga, he's probably cheaper as well.
  15. Big fee for Tino comes in and accept it would we keep Tripps for another season, and buy another up and coming to boost PSR funds and use the season for the newcomer to settle in and sort, or is Tripps beyond another season.
  16. Whenever Maignan gets mentioned I always think of that biblical save at the Gallowgate from Bruno’s shot. One of the best saves I’ve seen in person probably.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

Where would he fit in a Howe formation? He's got plenty of quality, but lacks in so many other metrics. As a #10 is the only position I could see him working.
  18. Nit in terms of money I wouldn't have though, no. Getting multiple deals done, however. Including trying to shift players. Different story.
  19. Give me: Bayern (a) Chelsea (h) Slavia Prague (a) Marseille (h) Villareal (h) Club Brugges (a) Union SG (a) Copenhagen (h) 19 points and straight into the last 16. 12 points would almost guarantee a play off round.
  20. Dont think it matters much in regards to PSR if we buy now (after july) or in January.
  21. If recency bias means the last two seasons then sure.

I think if we're realistic about it then we're going to have to shift a few big names for a few big fees if we're going to catch up. Everyone on here wants to keep on adding to the group and none of us want to see Isak or Tonali move on as we all enjoy watching them play. However, as we're seeing this summer PSR is allowing the clubs we're trying to catch to simply buy their way back into the picture and that's not something we can compete with. We've caught them up on the pitch but we've gone 3 windows without really strengthening and now we have the chance to spend and close the gap we find out the rest of them can match us. Don't want to lose Tino, I think he's class but IF we did shift him for a monstrous fee of £90m (or whatever, don't think he's worth that but no harm in asking for a number like that if we've accepted it's happening) then we could use every single penny of it and that would turbocharge our ability to get another 5 players of similar level. Spurs did it with Bale and Kane, Liverpool flipped Coutinho, Villa with Grealish, it's not unprecedented. We're getting to the point where our first raft of signings (Pope, Tripps, Burn etc) will also need to be replaced soon, this is on top of the shite that's still clogging the squad up. I'd hate it but we may need to bite the bullet eventually with our favourite players
