  1. Past hour
  2. Convinced nearly everyone naming him can't have seen him play much You can't really cherry pick a name that would be less suited to being a success as a winger in this league never mind an Eddie side.
  3. Ikon

    Anthony Elanga

Either way, I don’t see this happening as they’ll want even more than 50m which already is too much imo.
  4. Absolute fucking joker.
  5. Ikon

    Anthony Elanga

Really? I doubt it At least I haven’t even thought about itt that he played for them.
  6. I actually don’t have a clue who that bloke is with Paully.
  7. Can’t see Forest selling for less than £50million?
  8. Hardly over the hill at 23. He's got bags of experience for someone of that age I think there's some bias creeping in from some people because he used to play for Man Utd
  9. He probably meant when we got Tino.
  10. Might be an option if we don't get a striker, he's played there before. Last time I saw Elanga play up tops (admittedly in a two) he was electric, got 3 assists, and Forest won 7-0.
  11. Elanga definitely has more physical quality about him, but Akliouche has more up top from what I've seen. I'd always go for the intelligent players over the physically imposing players given the choice.
  12. Can see the argument for Akliouche but Lee Kang-in is bobbins, man.
  13. He's born in the same year as Tino
  14. There are some good foreign options but I agree, Elanga seems lower risk than most.. AND is mates with Isak. Anyway, that's exactly the sort of discussion that I compiled my schizophrenic shortlist for: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1ZzMFGZEolVEY4AZFGc4JN02bvlHuPQrEcPjD3bXHahU/edit?usp=sharing
  15. Elanga is 23. Tino will turn 23 this year. elanga’s output for the last two seasons has been good, especially considering his age.
  16. We’re not sticking him up top ffs
  17. It's his ability as a playmaker that sets him apart. You can't teach that quality and not many players are capable of it but it's invaluable to a team. Just need to look at thr impact Trippier has from RB to see the value of someone who sees things others don't.
  18. Not sure. More technically gifted for sure and presses well enough to be a hit. Could also play midfield roles. Possibly higher ceiling. But I would say Elanga is faster and has a better output in a stronger league and would do a better job if we stuck him up tops. And they're the same age.
  19. He’s not as fast for sure and quite lightweight. Good player though, and I’d be happy with him for sure. I just don’t see how 50m for Akliouche is a great deal while the same money for a more effective player is being laughed at.
  20. Liverpool offered £113 million for Wirtz!

    U23s & Academy

The Mail report that Newcastle are set to complete a deal for Rangers left back Oliver Goodbrand, with the 16 year-old heading to Tyneside soon for his medical. The Scottish U16 international debuted for the Rangers B team in a Glasgow Cup game aged 15 and as an academy scholar would be available upon payment of compensation
  22. Pretty much exactly where I'm at.
  23. Not cheaper but offers more.
  24. I’m sure it will be viewed as an over-pay. But I think he would be a great signing. Rapid, plays off both feet, takes set pieces, chips in with goals and assists. Like others. I would rather we sign this mythical, more technical player from abroad for less money. But I think he would fit in well here.
  25. I said I like him. Could say the same about yourself and Elanga though.
