Coming on stage to the Champions League music was superb ha ha!

Wasn't a Newcastle fan until the takeover, and yet here he is meeting his boyhood hero Alan Shearer in 2019, years before the takeover

Aye looking forward to going tomorrow like. Sesh too. As said, the lad at work was rattled by it tbf. Haven’t seen him like that before. Quite funny watching the bitterness. ‘whys everyone wearing black and white tops?’ ‘Don’t see loads of people wearing Man City tops for oasis’ etc.

Interestingly enough I was at a conference with some of their people yesterday and asked about it after reading this thread, they directed me to the same webpage.

I think he’d be a superb signing - we could have a keeper and two defenders in the England squad for years (three short term with BDB!)!
-
He has them rattled - he was superb last night - I’m back there again tomorrow! Town was heaving!

Aye. PSG were also able to take advantage of having a super deep squad and being able to rotate in the league heavily. Inter's old boys ran out of legs. Every PL side in Europe - bar Chelsea - struggled with the amount of games. The additional revenue is going to filter into the strongest squads we've ever seen in the sport for a select few.

I made a similar point wrt Trafford. It's been called a Saudi tax but I think really it's an Eddie tax. If selling clubs are smart they will know that Howe will tend to stick to his guns and he's usually pretty insistent on getting only his preferred targets.

Not saying owt new like, but outside of some of the self-employed, footballers are pretty much the only workers I can think of who get anywhere near fairly compensated for the wealth they create like. Proper typical of human nature that instead of everyone else banding together and demanding that for themselves, they instead just don't want footballers to have it.
