It honestly feels like we’re caught up in one of the most blatant scandals in football, yet somehow it’s all completely legal. What’s unfolding, selling women’s teams, selling hotels etc would make those implicated in Calciopoli blush! I really hope fan groups can come together and take a stand. We saw with the Super League that fan power can make a real difference.

João Pedro - Chelsea Agree Deal With Brighton (Ornstein)

I wasn’t excited about Joao Pedro tbh - more that if Howe wants him, that’s good enough for me. Personally, I don’t rate the lad particularly highly. -
I don't think he is he has attributes that are useful. Fair enough his injuries are a concern but so where Wilsons.

He’s definitely a Howe player but think in the Champions league you need a bit more craft, we’ve got raw pace in Gordon on one side, we looked technically way short last time in Europe and Elanga doesn’t solve that for me. -
Don’t use DCL and the word “strong” - he’s fucking dross.
-
Our cover for RW is to play people out of position. We are not getting a big money striker as a Isak backup. That just does not happen with PSR. Thinking that is a joke tbh. We are getting a backup option, either a free like DCL or cheap from abroad. If we were going to get expensive striker, why offer Wilson new deal? To be a 3rd choice?
-
If we got dcl that's three strong in the forward position. And I think Osula could do a job if giving the chance.
-
We can't flog Isak for 50-odd games next season, a decent backup is an absolute must
-
Eddie's been on his hols, those 2 half hearted numptys have been in charge, all change this week.
-
Watching PSG earlier i think if we buy Xavi Simons we could play 3 up top with a false 9 which rotate which will help mitigate Isaks injury. Or the other option is to get a RW who can play CF.
-
Trafford will be a quality addition, but Pedro and Elanga would have given us some real pace and power up front. We need more than just Isak.
-
Jacobs is such a Todd gobbler.
-
Feel like we had bigger fires need putting out than signing someone to “give us more options.” I don’t like him, he is petulant and throws himself about, hopefully we go and do better elsewhere now before people do start shitting the bed

Elanga is 23 with bags of raw potential and all the attributes to be a perfect Howe player. I’d pay £60m in a heartbeat. -
He had a bat phone and he didn't think to pick it up last week?
-
We have cover for goal keeper, right winger and centre half currently. We don't have for striker apart from Osula. If Isak gets a long term injury then we are fucked. DCL being mentioned is a joke and if you think the other areas are more pressing concerns, then that is just wrong
-
Agree, but we have no cover for Isak. Its as important as anything else.

In a club and got with someone but if bouncers had done their job properly she wouldn't of had entry to the club. In the heat of the moment you aren't going to ask someone for their ID. I think there was enough mitigation and the sentence he got highlighted this tbh. -
Kompany's put on a bit of timber

Think Trafford is the one signing I see with a really high ceiling, think he could transform our play from the back and looks to have huge potential. I agree about Elanga very hard at the fee being quoted to think that it’s a good deal, he’s a speed merchant and one trick pony. -
The club needs to rethink the strategy, they’re obviously targeting premier league proven going by the reported targets such as Joao Pedro, Elanga, Mbeumo, Guehi. Offering 45m for Elanga when Forest value him at £60m plus and don’t need to sell to make it happen you have to overpay (I’m not saying he’s worth overpaying for but as an example). If we’re unwilling or unable to overpay then why are we wasting time? Appreciate with Joao Pedro the player wants Chelsea and us paying the fee Brighton want is irrelevant but the point stands in general. Need to take some risks in the European market as we’ve done in the past.

Nice one pif lads
-
Ermmm...about the Elanga part......
-
Was Pedro even going to play week in and week out ? Just can’t see without a change in formation where he would have played, 50 million for a back up striker would have been a luxury. Go get Trincao, or the lad from Monaco and fill a position we need on the right and give us some creativity in the final third.

Is the exact thing we are desperate to avoid. Imagine paying 30m for someone who turns out to be Lloyd Kelly. This place would be furious.
