I know absolutely nothing about this bloke they have just signed, is he any good? They seem to be getting really excited over him. The fact that nobody else was in for him apart from Leeds who obviously didn't fancy him for the price quoted suggests not .
  3. If Chelsea beat us to another signing in done, it’s basically nit funny anymore.
  4. I won’t believe Chelsea have bid until Ben Jacobs reports it. Despite the deserved criticism he gets, he’s absolutely spot on for Chelsea transfer news. He’s the first and most reliable to break any news from them.
  5. Said in his daily podcast thing that they're interested and he's on their list, but they aren't actively pushing for a deal at the moment.

They're doing the right things to give themselves a chance, so fair play.
  7. You're making the point here really, it wasn't his new club, he was a Newcastle player who spat his dummy out, and went on loan to a rival with no obligation to buy, and then immediately started acting like he was a full on Man United player and fan. It was a weird way to go on at the time for a player who was probably coming back.
  8. I don't see us getting Simons, there'll be better contracts on offer to him. Pedro feels more realistic to me.

You know what I meant. There odds on survival which are pretty well tied in with their relegation odds are poor value.
  10. Nusa has been fantastic for Norway, but I'm not sure he's a good fit for Eddie Howe with all the high pressing and defensive work required. I think some of the reason that he shines for Norway is that I think he has less defensive responsibility there than with Leipzig. Besides he's a left winger, we don't need that currently. Imo that link isn't very credible. Maybe the Xavi Simons link is more credible.
  11. Was a while ago. Took a photo of one of the new signings and it was v apparent that he was hiding in a bush to take the pic. He got some pelters for it😂
  12. Won't be the only team to have parachute payments plus the Championship now has Birmingham/Wrexham in it too They are lucky they got promoted this time, if they go straight back down I wouldn't be so sure about them coming straight back up
  13. Really not that interested in him, id rather him go to Chelsea. The RB Leipzig rumours with Nusa and Simons excite me more.
  14. Chelseas scouting (done by Boehly himself): *Checks tranfer rumours online* *Googles "players wanted by top Premier League clubs"* *Watches some youtube highlights of those players* *Puts in bids for them at the quoted price from internet articles*
  15. Yeah, it's that left side they're prioritising at the minute. Gittens appears to be the one they really want there. As for the number 10, they do play Palmer there as the starter. And seen them linked with Harvey Elliott recently as an option there.
  16. It’ll be a real privilege to see him line up in Chelsea blue, on the bench.
  17. Sure there’s a bit of journos mentioning Chelsea in every transfer story as well.
  18. The way he talks about how managers can't come in and succeed with that squad stems from the narrative the media kept pushing about how Bruce was doing the best he could with a useless squad. We didn't have a great squad, but Bruce made it look so much worse. Just shows how those media narratives decides what many people think about teams that they don't follow closely themselves, and how it makes fans of other clubs delusional about us.
  19. That's what I was thinking, otherwise they might have been looking at him as a number 10/CAM, but doesn't Palmer play there? In either case he'd be sitting on the bench for them.
  20. Chelsea transfer policy = target all Newcastle targets as they seem to know what they are doing
  21. Think Chelsea were looking at him as a wide forward on the left, but have since prioritised Gittens instead? Don't think they're still after him as much. Especially as he isn't a previous Man City academy kid, which appears to be their latest obsession.
  22. Time will tell but I like these type of signings, let’s hope he’s not better value than 50 million plus on Elanga.
  23. Looking forward to seeing him playing in a Chelsea shirt next season when they gazump us.
