Chelsea trying to get Maignon for 12.5 million ffs
-
Kostoulas is only 18. Wonder if they'll be binning off Evan Ferguson and who'd buy him.
-
Sancho played a fair bit last season and he’s effectively replacing him and getting a pay rise plus he was there as a kid. Even if it doesn’t work out he’ll have his reputation largely intact. Pretty low risk move for him.
-
Gittens must be daft as a brush to go there. Pissing away his potential
-
Easy to forget that Brentford have dropped near £80m on Thiago, Carvallho, Van den berg. Shifting to Brighton recent model, where the buys are needing to be £20m-£35m mark and it makes the deals if they don’t work out more costly long term.
-
That’s a wild fee for someone who’s played one pro season
-
That's genuinely some fantastic reffing. Good job.

Am I the only sad cunt watching this shite?

The new Kostas Mitroglu

At the same time we had amazing success with buying non prem at first with Bruno, Isak, Botman - later on Tonali then stopped. The prem players we bought were great also but it seems we can buy well from overseas so why not get excited if the club looks at them
-
It feels like they have unlimited funds from getting so many of these ‘risk’ signings right in the pass. They sell Joao Pedro for £60 and it’s balanced
-
Who knows with Brighton but if they want him chances are he’ll turn out decent.
-
I’d prefer this guy for his first name alone
-
And the reason we haven’t spent in the last three years is cos we were up to the limit. Our commercial is still piss poor and we have no hotels to sell, Chelsea will make so much more for their CL than we will due to how it pays out and we keep giving contracts to players like Lascelles and Wilson .
-
There’s definitely risk there despite him being highly rated.

I had the gross outlay as £210m (which may be ambitious): Trafford - £30m Forster - Free Guehi - £40m Ederson - £40m Madueke - £50m Joao Pedro - £50m

I agree, but Isak was unfit for decent spells last season, Joelinton too, and Bruno playing almost every minute means he is going to burn out. We force lower half sides into making mistakes and gatecrashing the box as they don't have the quality to play through us. We used to struggle a lot more against sides who could play through us. Injuries and fitness issues forced us to adapt but I imagine Howe still wants to return back to what we're good at.
-
Proper Brighton move. I can’t stand them.
-
34m on a bairn from Greece is fairly risky and noncey like.
-
The LC win was fantastic, but it won’t have translated to much extra money in the coffers. The prize money is a rounding error in the club’s accounts.
-
No worries, didn’t take it as a dig. You might be right in some cases. But it’s also difficult to tell who exactly has said exactly what. I for one am very excited about JP. I think he would be perfect even if we might have to pay a bit too much. Sometimes it’s just right to “buy it nice or buy it twice”. I’m like that in real life myself.

Some outlets reckoned Arsenal would get Isak for £70m man 😂😂 seems we should be keeping these players warm for the “big teams”
