I know Beadle's a lurch but that's outrageous
-
Aye, it says he's 5ft 7 on wiki but surely he's closer to 5ft 2? It throws you off seeing him stand next to other players in the lineups.
-
I can’t recall hearing that, but if it’s true then it would probably only be Nike who would have been able to offer more. As much as we have history with Adidas, Nike have done very well with making both PSG and Spurs global brands.
-
Definitely. Pay him top money for another 2 years and sell him then. He'll be 27 and possibly at his peak. A win for everyone.
-
You're making too much sense here. Not sure if you're angling for a reach around, but I'm prepared to give you one. Just this once, though
-
It’s probably worth remembering that if you are a member this season, you’ll likely be consulted on the new club badge, and potentially the new stadium. I can’t see them consulting with fans outside of that, as it would be difficult to prove that they are fans of the club.
-
Yeah, that and a bit more cash will do it. We can't say he's worth north of £100m and then pay him like he's only worth £60m.
-
This isn't the travesty it used to be. Even for Palace.
-
I think we need to show him, and our other top players, that we're going to be ambitious. A couple of top quality signings, particularly a striker to lessen the load on him, might be enough to persuade him that his future is at Newcastle. At least for another couple of seasons. I'd take that right now in a heartbeat.

We got thugged out against Dortmund. Slim but definitive margins. On the whole we were pretty poor in the CL. Lucky to get a draw against Milan imo. Didn't have enough about us in the home game. Phenomenal at home to PSG. Shit decision in Paris but on balance of play a draw was a fortunate result. Not good enough in either tie against Dortmund. On the balance of play we deserved 3-5 points and no more. Tough as hell draw though. -
Let's just pay the guy what he deserves, right? Wirtz is making just over 200k, I think 250k is reasonable. He's world-class, after all.
-
And Jo missed that absolute sitter to make it 1-1.

Alexander Isak speaks out on his future after Arsenal, Man Utd & Tottenham links: "Yeah, of course I want to be here in the future," he told @MsiDouglas. "I came here for the project, I absolutely love playing here, I really feel at home." Guess there is nothing there also?

The Huijsen stuff is air. He was signed for £15m and was sold for £50m and they got a good season out of him. It would be annoying having to get a new CB again - but Huijsen would've paid for 2 £50m signings for a single season. Or one £50m signing for 3 years. The key to establishing ourselves as a top club is consitently delivering on the pitch. Qualifying for the CL again next season is priority 1. If a player that comes in for 1 season and then leaves - but is key in helping to achieve that - it's absolutely fine. In the mean time we are cracking up the FMV of our sponsorships and eating prize money.

If they had the squad they ended with from the start they would've got CL football. Our squad is significantly weaker. When they beat us they brought Malen, Barkley, Rashford, Onana & Ramsey off the bench. 2 French internationals on the bench didn't get a minute. We are way short of that depth. -
They somewhat surprisingly reduced the % of payments based on coefficient with the new format. But by adding more games and guaranteeing high profile (Super League-esque) group stage games they can justify bigger broadcast deals so everyone who is regularly in it will get more money.
-
Are they getting Kyle Walker too?
-
Good signing for the toffees.
-
Do you ever wonder why you and TCD cop so much flack on here compared to everyone else?
-
Fancy Quansah to do well at Leverkusen.

We might not sign a Ederson kind of CM but I really really think it would be an absolutely massive massive mistake not signing someone that offers more than Willock and Longstaff when it comes to reliability/quality. Keep it as it is and it could very well ruin the season. It’s vital that we get a CM of some kind. I’d be trying to shift both Willock and Longstaff if possible. If we can’t get a top class one then fine, but then at least get someone younger like Fernandes from Southampton or similar who offers something now as well as having potential to grow with time.

Dortmund was annoying as I don't think they'd have taken 6 points off us with just a few extra players available. We probably deserved at least a point at home, the away game we were on our knees. -
I can't tell you how much I didn't want to respond to this post. In fact going forward I'm just not going to engage with certain posters, because I kind of have a good idea of who I just don't jive with. Even with this response of yours I can tell you didn't take in what I posted. You're still talking about me wanting to be right all the time. No, I am simply returning the same sort of responses that so many of you love to dish out, but then get mad when the same is given to you.

I agree, i would love us to go out and get another top class CM. Just trying to be realistic though, it isn't going to happen in this window imo.
