    NUFC Transfer Rumours

Isak only scored 6 in 32 games for Sociedad the season before we bought him. I know it’s slightly different circumstances but it’s still a risky deal, we dropped £63m on him and that looks a bargain now. If we can get this guy for around 40m and are confident he can play a lot fo games, then it could be another great deal.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

Yup and as of their last game of season at the end of May he was still injured
  5. Oi I’m a slaphead 😂 but I probably agree. What’s he said now?
  6. Scalvini played 6 of 38 games last season. Massive risk
  7. I'd have to agree, mate.
  8. Honestly think the first proper signing we make will generate such a feel good factor for the club Cant wait for the NUFC photo spam, the shit interviews we do, the Eddie Howe handshake at the training ground etc etc
  9. Hopefully we are preparing a bid, somewhere, for someone, maybe...
  10. Random fact and probably a Giggs, our former player Daniel Cordone was booed & jeered in Brazil playing in a Brazil v Argentina "legends" game, as they tried to pass him off as Caniggia and the fans sussed straight away. https://www.espn.com/soccer/story/_/id/37407467/the-toe-poke-ex-newcastle-flop-dresses-fake-caniggia-charity-match
  11. Caniggia to Dundee as well. Didn't last long before Rangers snapped him up he was ridiculously too good for them.

    James Trafford

You trust that with the demands of CL and PL?
  13. Edwards is such a slaphead
  14. I'm actually really excited by this transfer and would be gutted if it doesn't happen Would I want this signing to happen at the expense of a RW or CB? No but just because we sign a GK first doesn't mean that will be the case. I can make those judgements when the window closes Trafford means that is the GK sorted for the next decade easily and he has the profile that will help us improve. I don't want a keeper to be good with his feet so he can play daft little suicidal passes like some of the lesser sides foolishly do but I want us to have a keeper that can present himself as a passing option when any of our defenders have the ball. Currently we avoid passing to Pope as much as possible and on the occasions we do pass to him he mostly shanks it out I don't think Traffords all round game is as good as Pope's but he's still young and will get better at that as he gets older

    Marc Guehi

I'm sure he said St James' is his favourite away ground, too. Which to me, means he's choking to sign for us with Scalvini
  16. Bet you log back in and check within the hour

    Marc Guehi

Clubs dont make offers if the player categorically has said no. Personal terms might not be agreed, but certainly Guehi didnt say no to us.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

Same here, literally find it boring now. Golf course until end of July sounds more like it
  19. "Could advance" "one to watch" "still keen" "interest remains" Yeah this is boring now. Journos just rehashing nonsense I'll mentally check out until the season starts
  20. On the other hand, how many risky signings can we afford? What if a couple of them don't hit?
  21. I think Gordon or Barnes might be sold, more likely Gordon
  22. Hmm, kind of, I was assuming an upgrade on Willock because IMO he offers very, very little now. We still wouldn't have a replacement for the main 3 that is any quality, except Miley who is still very young. I think Pedro would play instead of a midfielder rather than as a midfielder. So in a game where we wanted a midfield 3 he wouldn't play there.
  23. This is where the hesitation and frustration around Elanga and to a lesser extent JP and Guehi comes from. For the fees mentioned we would want higher ceiling players.
