£150m feels like a world record, given the absolutely bizarre price tag PSG paid for Neymar, which no-one has come close to since. And ultimately if the player wanted a move, the club’s resolve is unlikely to last. I still don’t think he leaves this summer, in part because none of his likely destination clubs have the needs nor the funds at present. He goes to a European giant when he does go - next summer looks a far more likely moment for it to happen. Just enjoy him while we have him - and who knows, he might be here even longer than that

Doesn't look like we will do anything before 1st July. Which is probably sensible.

Since she left we've won a trophy, qualified for the champions league again, and held on to our most important players. The facts don't match your feelings. -
aye no idea who is leading the club really. Whose baby is it?

Its not felt the same since Amanda left. It's such a shame she left. She felt like the glue behind the scenes -
Like I said: 1) Not sure if my opinion of him is hindered by his bellend attitute towards interviewers or not 2) I'm going purely from memory so I'm sure he has had these types of performances but they must be few and far between
-
He scored a goal in the euros final mind!
-
Of course, he's obviously a very talented footballer - that I'm not refuting - I just think the hype over him is a bit much for someone who goes missing too often against the very best sides.
-
Just letting everyone know market value for when Al-Hiali come in for £140m as a starting bid
-
Aye maybe so. Feels like Palmer runs Chelsea though. Everything goes through him. Bear in mind this is voted for by the players.

There'll be loads of Sunderland fans that think they can win games when only at 90%, but they won't. Be conceding 3+. Going to have be at 100% levels every game, every minute to stand a chance of a point in the first place.

Being further south, have some Ipswich friends who were of similar mindset last season. Back to back seasons of winning, felt once they got first two games out of the way their quality would show. Reality check when Fulham at home was very hard fought point (banking on that being win) and the theme continuing up to they were smashed away to an awful West Ham side. Hope only remained for while after because Wolves were down with them, so it was very much "Can stay up with 25 points" positive outlook, instead of the 40 that you often need Ipswich are a far better side than Sunderland too.

Obviously we should never sell a player like Isak but he has almost become too good for us. Top 3 striker in the world should be playing in a team challenging for the CL trophy every season and earn much more than we could ever pay in the near future. I'm absolutely certain that he isn't going anywhere this summer but it's a different story next summer. There are maybe five teams in the world who could sign him and those clubs have massive pull even when Isak loves NUFC and Newcastle. Not really worried about PL teams buying him but Barca especially must be looking at him with Lewa's age, hope their finances are still a mess. PSG and Bayern are a bit scary too, PSG don't really have a striker and Kane is getting older too.

Not particularly impressed with Eales, Silverstone or Mitchell to be honest, did PCP leave them in a bad position due to poor management of PSR possibly, but communication and actions have been severely lacking since Amanda left. Think Howe bailed them all out last season and hopefully new appointments are a bit more communicative and dynamic. -
I can't get away with him. Not sure if my opinion of him is hindered by his bellend attitute towards interviewers or not, but I also think he goes missing against the top sides. It's all very well and good scoring four goals against Everton and what have you, but when was the last time he took a game by the scruff of the neck against a Liverpool or Arsenal? (I've not checked the stats, I'm going purely from memory so I'm sure he has had these types of performances but they must be few and far between). I'd rather Eze in my side than Palmer.
-
If that's the logic we should have Jacob Murphy in there ahead of Fernandes. More goals and assists.
-
I remember Bruce's 4-4-2 tactics making him look like peak Cafu. *Shudders*
-
Aye 8 assists. Second most big chances created after Salah.
-
Tailed off a bit but he did still score 15 goals and I'm sure he got plenty of assists.
-
Even if. Dibling might be very good in the future, but he might not. With PSR we really cannot try and hope with very expensive player with little experience.

Bang on. Nickson is a huge asset, the best at what he does - spotting, scouting and speaking to players - and a workaholic whose air miles are off the scale. But he's thinly spread, and must be among the people at the club most frustrated at not getting deals over the line. I guess he's just used to it by now. Way back in Jan 2019, he had Raphinha lined up on loan with a buying option from Sporting only for Ashley and Charnley to veto it.

Didn't he also fly to Brazil to speak to Bruno? Nickson is clearly an important figure, beyond just player identification.
