Just last week it happened in the Fulham v Everton match. I also remember Oliver sticking with a Bournemouth penalty at Forest and Villa got a 90th minute penalty against Palace last season even though VAR tried to overrule it although I agree its pretty rare.
-
Why? Do they put serial winners on trial at The Hague?

Maeda is a pressing machine, I've never seen anyone with a level of fitness like his. Before anyone remarks about how shit the SPFL is, his pressing stats and top speeds in the CL are amongst the best if not, the best. The reason he's at Celtic is cause his technique leaves a lot to be desired, however, his crossing and finishing have gone up a few levels this season. He's easily been the best player in Scotland this year and Celtic would want around 30 million for him so I'd say there's better value elsewhere. Whilst we're on the topic of Celtic, I hope to rumours linking us to Kühn have gone away, he has the heart of a mouse and would get eaten alive in the PL.

No. In a normal season, 1-4 get CL, 5 get EL, 6 get nothing, 1 of the 2 EL spots goes to the FA Cup winners, the Conf League spot goes to the LC winners. If, like most seasons, those comps are won by teams who have already qualified then European spots would go down to 6th and 7th, just 6th last year as Man Utd won the FA Cup, as we found out. This year, there was a bonus CL spot, so 1-5 get CL, 6 gets Europa, 7 would have got nothing (depending on the cups). Palace get the 2nd EL spot via winning the FA Cup and our conf spot for winning the LC would go to 7th place, which still could be us anyway, but more likely to be Forest. Had say Wolves won the LC, then Forest wouldn't have gotten anything for finishing 7th.

I am biased but I don’t understand how you can be better at other fans winning their first trophy in their lifetimes. In favour of Man City. What a miserable life.
-
Pep should be tried at The Hague for what he’s done to the game
-
No. 7th doesn’t officially have a place in Europe, it’s dependent on the cup winners already qualifying for Europe. At the moment we are in a position where if we don’t finish 7th, then it means we finish in a European position above the Conference League via our Premier League finish. If we finish 7th, then we qualify for the Conference League via our League Cup win, not because we finished 7th.

One of the best in the business in my eyes now.

That's mad that a third tier team has reached the final again. Assume the gap between Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2 is a lot narrower than the England equivalent?
-
We had to deal with Karius in nets for our biggest game in forever but in the final they choose to ignore it
-
It was the Trippier move of acting as the shithousery magnet in the build up to the spot kick. Marmoush was always going to take it.
-
So there isn’t a default spot in conference league for a league place? Say if we finished tenth having won the cup, we would be in conference league and no other English team would be?
-
Congrats to Palace. I think it's great for fans of clubs outside the established order to be winning major cups. Its boring when its dominated by a few clubs who win everything. Hopefully we can pick up an fa cup in the next couple of years but today belongs to Palace. Fair play to them and their (even longer than us) long suffering fans

Since VAR was introduced in the PL, does anyone know how many times the ref has gone to the monitor but stuck to his original decision? I think I can remember just one, a while back. To speed the game up maybe the VAR should just tell the on field ref to change his decision.

Daft cunt turned one of the best full backs in history into a DM.
-
Worried about Wednesday or is it the fear you’ll jump ship and glory support elsewhere?
-
Nee idea what that means
-
Not liking this trend of teams winning their first trophies in decades like.

No other manager gets accused of being "too clever" than Guardiola
-
Stinks of Guardiola trying to be clever. Same as when he dropped Rodri in the Champions League final.
-
Worst part about City is this might be the end but they’ll still sign players like Khusanov and deny the likes of us a chance by having that higher spending power and not even use them.
-
Oh dear. Would have preferred Man City to win, but I can take positives from Haaland losing. Also, good for the Palace fans. Citeh have seemed ponderous lately (except vs NUFC). Like a parody of those Arsenal teams that try to walk it in. Imagine much of the same today. Small annoyance that Parish won, and that Palace got a better 'name' cup, even though the League Cup was a crucible of fire and the FA Cup was a stroll through a wheat field this year.

BBC reckoned he'd been told to give it to Marmoush before the game. Shearer couldn't believe it.
-
I think it started by us passing it around the defence, which was positioned about 30-40m from our goal (just to use time). Then they did some sneaky pressing, and I think both Burn and Schär gave the ball away to give them chances. Individual errors basically. Sloppy last 10, but we will smash Everton if we create as many big chances as we did that day.
