Years ago - pre Bosman the clubs had major power over players, probably more so on the continent than UK as we did have free transfers if a contract wasn't offered with wage parity. But the clubs could still threaten to hold registrations etc. and force players to accept insurance pay offs with long injury lay offs. Now I would say the balance has shifted totally to the players... they have the talent so you could argue rightly slow but it's maybe gone too far... Again people are entitled to an opinion. I very much doubt he's read through the match thread on here and as long as he's not getting abuse from thw match going fans I fail to see the issue. People just reacting to what they were watching I suppose. I've noticed a downturn in his attitude and demeanour. Whether that's due to his head being turned by the Liverpool speculation or annoyance with himself for missing out on the biggest day in our history since 1955 I don't know but he's a different player to what he was last season. That's undeniable. I'll be there on Sunday and if he's on the pitch I'll get behind him 100% so in the grand scheme of things questioning his attitude on here makes sod all difference. If he gets stick inside the ground then that's a different story altogether.

It's a part of his game that is massively lacking. He completely crumbles when he gets near the box and has a chance for a shot, IMO. It's strange that he is so confident in possession in more dangerous areas, where losing the ball would often lead to a chance for the opposition. But when he is on the ball going towards goal. He seems to freeze or just carry on with the ball without making a decision. Even his only goal for us came from him almost running it into the goal, FIFA style On the rare occasion he does get a shot off, he rushes it and snatches at the chance. His crossing is also very hit and miss and is somehow better from the byline on his weaker foot. Never seems like the type to cross from deep or pick anyone out with a cutback from the right. I genuinely don't think it's too outrageous to suggest that if his attacking output and quality could even get up to half that of his defensive ability. Then he'd be one of the best full backs in the world.

I don't think it matters, Man United were called United through their dominant years under Sir Alex, it was a thing that stuck for that generation, nobody refers to Leeds as United either, nor do people call Bradford City, "City", but if someone says City now, most people will think of Man City. Four decades I've supported Newcastle, I'm mid 40s, nobody really calls us United, nor do they call Leeds "United", there's 14 teams with united, Sheffield United seem to be the first if were being truly pedantic

Aggressive (too much sometimes), ball carrier/dribbler and he tries to make stuff happen on the ball. Im still figuring out what kind of player Miley is. I think there is a difference when a player is coming into the twilight of his career like Wilson? Its obvious for all parties that this summer is the one he leaves. Don't think thats disloyal as a fan to think so.

I'm sure the £50-100m they'll get during the World Club Cup will soften the blow. Could always withdraw from that if he's worried about it.
