It can help us get a squad that can compete in the CL and requalify for the CL without a long term commitment. Not qualifying for the CL is a worse option for me come than a £5-10m cost of a loan that might make the difference.
-
If this is the case then surely it would help any application for building. Especially if the plans involve (which they should) refreshing and creating new green space. The thing I really notice about Newcastle is how little green space is really accessible in the city centre. Less than most parts of London I would say.

I’m sure someone can dig out that exact phrase on the sad cunts message board and the hyperlinks from it to the petition. Similar from Twitter accounts. Unlike that Dotty shitbag and her Sunderland sourced signatures from 1995, there’s a whole audit trail of people with shite agendas tracing straight back to them.
-
Loans are terrible for PSR. You pay a fee and you pay wages and you do not gain an asset.
-
Yep - it’s not about their personal ethics, it’s about not fucking off their teammates. Plenty of our squad might well be dickheads. Trippier is the perfect example - seems to be a dressing-room leader, but also seems to have been a bit of a cunt away from it
-
It would take a fairly significant change in mentality from Eddie. I know the financial arguments that would be put forward for it, but as adaptable as Eddie has been to certain situations, the ability to develop players and reap the rewards from that, feels like one of his key principles. Can’t see him changing that.
-
I think with PSR this might change.
-
I'd like to know what you're expecting to find
-
Yep, I agree. I think if the club establish a way of meaningfully looking after the city parks it could be a win-win. Job creation, better parks, less pressure on the council. Alongside creating new green space, wherever possible.
-
Harms their cause if anything. It just shows that they're going to protest against it regardless, rather than waiting to see what the proposal is, assessing the potential impact and challenging it accordingly.
-
Fuck it, build an absolute monolith right next to the bungalow of light since they want to protect our green spaces. Plenty fucking wasteland around there, including their flat pack shithole.

Tuchel's mam getting a lot of coverage

I'm a massive advocate for green spaces being retained/created in city centres. But the simple fact is that to get this passed, it would be an exchange as we've already talked at length about. The greenspace and subsequent maintenance would be down to the club to present to the council to get the agreement to build. The new park would take some time to establish - trees/hedgerows, but lets not kid the financial element of having a bigger stadium and more revenue into the city, let alone the revamped, nicer greenspace than Leazes currently is. Entirely daft protesting to the council about something which hasn't been announced, and public surveys, which require no real vetting or quantification, are a moot point. They also require a significant amount of signatures for anyone to even think about caring, not some mackems and a few people pissing their pants.
-
Change petitions never do anything in anyway.
-
Scandalous? Ffs. I'm sure the "millions of pounds of taxpayers' money" spent on making it look like an oasis for wildlife (or the odd pidgeon/cow) was hard spent, but it would be nice to wait for the actual plans before the mackems and well meaning wetwipes start throwing petitions about.
-
Poor advice. Absolute amateur hour sending it to the council before any plans have been presented.

James Trafford: NUFC in talks with Burnley over £30m transfer (Various)
Joelinton7 replied to 54's topic in Football
Not really worth it if spending that much on a keeper stops us getting a new cb, rw and st/cm and it fucks us for a decade. -
Fuck me, first time on NO today and two pages of No Dickhead bullshit. Just shows how slim the transfer rumours are. The only firm target so far seems to be Trafford. While it's great 'n all, I think the area we must cover is striker/forward. The Jao Pedro links need to become firmer before I feel we are getting somewhere.

She didn't mention the large number of rats roaming about, and as above, stressed Saudi super stadium. No agenda whatsoever though.

On the other hand Leazes Park lost its green flag status and has been described by a volunteer of friends of leazes park as 'damaged beyond repair' https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cnl090xvegno

How can you object to something that hasn't been presented?

Whole thing was just dripping of a personal agenda, obviously Ange took the piss out of him or something.
