Memories of Jim Scott. always looked like he'd been up all night on the drink

Sorry mate, but there is absolutely zero chance we take points off Chelsea. The final is five days after the game. Personally think you've already got CL qualification wrapped up though.
-
Don't forget the 25% wage deduction for the players for no CL qualification, which is currently around £40m.

Murphy > Salah.

I think a blind man on meth would've introduced a bit more wave 😉

Arsenal vs. Newcastle United: 18/05/25 @ 16:30 (Sky Sports)

Arteta used to appear a few times on Revista de La Liga back in the day, aye? Sure he seemed like a decent bloke then. Absolutely despise him now - insufferably arrogant, his preening about the technical area and gesticulating is awful. Just makes me love Howe and his level of self-control even more. -
Hoping these clowns win their next two matches. I am ready for disappointment. Spurs winning the Europa is clearly better for us. Ange is shot and players will actively avoid spurs in the summer even with CL. If they win they might be daft enough to keep Ange for another season too. Man Utd with CL could manage a half decent rebuild, without it and with a manager who has lost the plot, losing the Europa probably leaves them drifting for another year. Amorim is going to walk away at some point. It’s not about financials with them, they’ll still throw money around most clubs can only dream of, it’s about who would say yes to them.

Winning EL won't be transformational for Spurs. The Spurs "project" is not about winning trophies. It's not something they will consistently do. It's not important to Levy and the club embodies it. They only giving Europa a good shot because of CL qualification. Man U managers need to win trophies. Which is why they have won 3 different types, some of them multiple times, since Ferguson left. It's transformational for us because our "project" does require winning trophies. And we've only been trying to win trophies for the last 3 years. -
Which ones are your Pot 4 teams?
-
Like us going into the CC final on some rocky form, we put in a decent grafting performance against West Ham before rather than rest players for the final. We needed to get the momentum before the final and I hope Spurs can do that against Villa and grab at least a point. I think the man united game against Villa after the final will be a dead rubber and villa win it if they need to.

Honestly cant hate Arteta so much, he is too simple minded 🤣 -
Its such a shit situation to be in, having to decide between Spurs and Manure. I've thought long and hard about it, and have yet to still decide who I would prefer to win the EL. Fuck them both.

Don't care. Due to their ownership both aren't title threats IMO. Due to finances Man U in particular will always be competitive. But Levy will never spend the money and Man U won't make enough compounded good decisions. Both of their managers aren't the right men for the jobs. -
Its the haircut for Parmer, looks like been cut by a blind man on meth.

Given Ratcliffe’s pleading of poverty, onerous legacy contracts and £30m drop off in league position merit money this season, plus adidas being able to pay them less sponsorship money for failing to make the CL I’m all for seeing these arrogant dickheads brought down a peg or two and brought out of their media fluffing bubble into cold hard reality. Plus @leffe186 isn’t anywhere near the despicable wind up merchant as@Froggy is! Last season they made £37m in merit payments from U.K. and International. This season 16th would net them £14m and 17th £11.3m. By contrast we got £39.4m and could go up to either £53.5m for 2nd. No CL would see them drop the c.€50m they’ve earned in the EL for reaching the final with no European revenue coming in. That’s another chunky drop off. Then reduced payments from adidas - £10m a season deductible for not being in the CL. Brexit Jim will have to find a lot of dinner ladies and stewards to sack to make up that shortfall.

Salah has had one of the weirdest player of the year seasons I've seen as well. I don't think I've watched a match this season where he's been a massive threat every time he's had the ball, or dominated the opposition defence like we've seen him do in the past. He picks his moments to be clinical or pull something put of a hat and gets on the ball enough that eventually it'll happen. It hasn't been a Salah season that we'd expect yet his output has been crazy. I think his match against us at home summed up his season in a way. Pretty quiet, Hall dealt with him really well yet he scored 2 goals, got an assist and hit the bar.

I get that, what I was getting at is that winning this years EL isn't something that'll change the fabric of who you are. Winning the LC was transformational for us, winning the EL would be for Spurs, winning the FA Cup would be for Palace. If you win the EL, it isn't going to be a particuarly useful weapon for you in the bragging right war against City & Liverpool, all it'll do is redeem a catastrophic season somewhat -
Arsenal need 2 top quality attackers. Martinelli is not at the level.

What a shit talking metaphor analogy ballbag. Destroy them! -
You’re the most guilty one on here of doing that.
-
There is no way the rest win every game too - DONE!

I'd love him at us.

Another post declaring that Sunderland are primed to be a top half PL team. A feat they've achieved 3 times in living memory. Also, a gentle reminder that Sunderland have scored a grand total of 5 goals in their European history. That would make them our joint 9th top scorers.
