They're billionaires, so obviously they've got better vision than me. I'm sure they know what they're doing. Will it help Chelsea? Maybe not. But I bet they'll make a ton of money off it.
-
Yeah I get all of that, the issue is the amount they've spent already and the amount they will spend in the future. I don't see how they make money in the long run especially considering the opportunity cost.
-
So being a fund and all, the plan's to boost the team's worth, simples. New stadium, better facilities etc, a young hotshot team to rake in cash for years through player trading and sponsorship etc, then sell the club for a profit. Classic American investor model. The Glazers' primary motivation for acquiring Manchester United was likely financial gain. Their subsequent success in this endeavor is evident. copy and paste that to Clearlake
-
Inter without Pirelli sponsor will never look right to me.
-
Chelsea have gamed the system so well. They actually have a lot of ffp headroom and clear lake show signs of stopping. Given they are an investment fund I'd love to know how the plan on making actually money out of this.
-
That's wrong, some of those clubs' income depends on European football. Missing two CL seasons would really hurt them. But the main thing you're overlooking is the difference between FFP wiggle room and actual cash. Spurs and Man U are losing money. Forget FFP for a sec – they're in the red, huge debts. Spurs are finding this out now. You can have FFP headroom, but you also need owners willing to keep funding it because the club itself isn't making money. It's losing money. So yeah, if the Glazers/Sir Jim or the Lewis trust/Levy are willing to keep funding them for years, fine, but I seriously doubt that. Multiple seasons without CL would be a disaster for either team. If Chelsea miss the Champions League this season and next season, it'll really hurt them (include spurs and man u). Because while they're struggling, we and Villa are just getting stronger.

Nike are utter dog these days. Like how the stripes on the inter kit actually say inter though, that's a cool touch.

Strip him down for parts.

If there’s no solid basis to ‘write off’ a perennially injured 33-year-old goalscorer who hasn’t scored a league goal in a year, I’m not sure there’s ever grounds to doubt anyone ever. Especially in the context of the club we’re trying to be now. Even if his legs come back (not likely in the real world) we need better and far more reliable than Callum Wilson.
-
I'm happy with variation. If we went super simple classic this year I'd be up for a zanefest in 26/27. Though it would be nice for our PL/CL winning season kit to be everlasting.
-
Some of our fans want the fancy shit over that. Gtfoh. Nothing more aesthetically pleasing than a proper simple kit in your clubs traditional look before these sport brands insisted their templates and “creativity” meant more than simplicity. There’s a reason why retro kits >>>>> over modern, nostalgia aside - simple clean kits always look better.
-
"Ahhh, Shola man". Probably the most commonly uttered 3-words inside At James Park. He was a dreadful footballer who stole a living here and he's got some sort of "legend" status now (was knocking about before the Cup Final, this...)
-
Looks better with a trefoil and no wanky gambling sponsors. There’s no fun in fun88.
-
Like a kitchen island that. Marbleicious.
-
They need to fuck off from football and stick to other sports. Same with New Balance. Car crash kits. Leave it to adidas, Umbro, Hummel and others who actually know how to design for “soccer”.

Funny assed comment on the American broadcast. Arsenal set piece coach Nicolas Jover tries to run to the pitch to protest at the very end of the game, intercepted by Arteta and pushed back to the bench physically. Commentator says " NIcolas Jover has been sent back to his kennel".

I'd just get the number 1 bus to Slatyford from the college it literally drops you off outside Scotswood Sports Centre. Its a canny old walk from the college, I wouldn't fancy it as it'll take over an hour

Ashley stooge / apologist is the root cause.
-
What's with the hatred for Shola? I honestly can't comprehend it.
-
I spent a good 45 seconds looking for him before I saw him, then just went "Ah!", and started laughing.
-
About £60m per year goes to pay for the Glazer’s leveraged buyout Spurs lost about £30m and Man Utd about £110m post-tax. Spurs’ loss is pretty normal for a PL club.

I know it's a daft question but I'll ask it anyway and do so not to curry favour with the likes of @Froggy BUT how much of those two club's turnover is A) profit and, more importantly B) squirreled away by the owners/shareholders
