The Europeometer™ (2024/25) - NUFC Qualify for Conference League (at least)
The Prophet replied to Rich's topic in Football
I'm not sure what's more impressive. Villa's recent form or that they've only gained two points on during that run. -
Since Chelsea didn't win with a lot of goals, and they need to lose to Forest for Forest to leapfrog us on points, I take it that we are now assured of Europa League (by finishing in sixth) so long as we do not lose to Arsenal and Everton with a bigger hit to our goal difference than the hit to Chelsea's goal difference from them losing to Forest. We are +3GD ahead of Chelsea, and they need to lose too to help Forest, so provided with do not lose our next two by a combined -4GD, we're in the Europa regardless of Forest-Chelsea. So us missing out on Europa is even more "miniscule" than it was before. Forest not winning tomorrow, or a point for us against Arsenal will confirm it. This is a maths exercise only because I fully expect us to get results in both games and qualify for CL.

Remember speaking to him at a service station when he was heading home with his foot in a boot. Wished him a speedy recovery so we could avoid relegation. Oh how times have changed.
-
Nah fuck them.

Tripps ended up in the Blackhorse, after a few renditions of Simon’s bus is best bus he’s now declared Simon his new leader and will be at the Emirates after all on Sunday.
-
Don't care. I prefer ManC as a club, but wouldn't begrudge Palace their first ever major trophy. It'd be good to see trophies shared around a bit more after decades of a handful of clubs totally dominating.
-
Unlikely but I want us and Forest.
-
Was also thinking, as much as I despise Chelsea, I'd probably rather they got one of the 5 Vs Villa and Forest. We need to start breaking away from other teams and the financial hit to Villa and Forest could set them back. Chelsea seem to have no financial issues so they'll be there or there abouts next season regardless.
-
Totally agree with this mate.
-
Do you reallly want a player/players signing for you based on that sole reason?
-
Think on balance I would rather Palace won it, nothing can take away from our achievement anyway. Don't really care like.

Gordon will have a point to prove against Arsenal but especially against Everton at home. -
Yeah, not sure if a cup win is better as they'll not give a shit, or if they lose and probably also not give a shit
-
Sitting with the enemy for this one so will have to be on my best behaviour. Fortunately I've inherited NUFC (Dad's from Durham) and am southern based so I can blend in
-
The fuck you say?
-
I loved Gayle's callout of Bruce, and the useless fat cunt's spitting of dummy as a result. Gayle hardly has the reputation of being difficult, so it just further exposed what Bruce is
-
If we somehow miss out on UCL when Spurs or Man Utd get in, the noise that comes out of me will be ungodly
-
I still look back on that Gordon penalty miss against Everton..I hope we batter them next week
-
The atmosphere at home to Everton will be off the charts. I also think we'd pump Joelinton full of pain killers to get an hour out of him. Everton are going to be out of spunk following their home game at Goodison which is going to sap all their emotions.

Lads, I can’t fathom this - Top Gun was shite, but Top Gun 2 was well put together shite. Hoy it on in a properly kitted out cinema room with a good sound system and it’s a cracking two hours of unadulterated nonsense -

If you want some hope, they have a horrible record at Old Trafford. Not that it'll count for much if they've been on the lash all week like. -
Thought ManU weren't too bad yesterday Certainly prefer our last fixture to Villas as it stands.

Having the F.A Cup final before the end of the season should be illegal.
