  1. Past hour
  2. Time to find out the validity of the claim from the powers that be that the ‘bubble trip’ last season was only due to the size of the allocation stands up…
  3. It’s funny I’ve seen the same people so confident about beating Everton tomorrow now suddenly worried about the derby games. The gap between Newcastle & Sunderland has never been greater.
  4. They why are you so bloody worried about playing them?
  5. Don't they have a few players on loan, meaning they'll have to spend quite a bit just to stand still?
  6. 0-3 Stuttgart after 28 minutes, shambolic defending for all of them. Levels and all that
  7. I really don't like the derbies and have always agreed with Keegan's outlook that it's a rivalry that should be beneath us, but I'm sure the matches themselves will be good. Found the commentary team's comments about the game so weird during the match really bizarre though. The way they were talking you'd have thought Sheff United were 3 nil up and that seemingly unexpected moments don't happen in finals. It was always clear that at 1 nil they'd get at least one big chance.
  8. Could backfire. If Sunderland were any good.
  9. Well the ballot for this game will be fun
  10. I'm pleased for Leah Williamson because reasons.
  11. I won't be paying that preseason friendly tournament a moment of my attention. The same way I don't bother with the Emirates Cup.
  12. And they’re 1 down straight after
  13. As long as its in next seasons accounts it makes no odds at all whether we release or keep Hayden, it's one year wages in one year regardless. Any payments due for us terminating would be the difference but that may be countered by a loyalty bonus if we keep him to the end. Id guess we'd let him leave on a free of there was an offer but if not he'd stay on payroll and use the facilities to keep in some form of fitness
  14. Mikky. My good man - whom I consider to be the most knowledgeable football poster on here - what do you reckon of SAFC next season? Straight back down aye?

    Scott McTominay

Posts like this complete me. Serie A isn't what it was of the 90s and 2000s but it's been ridiculously entertaining carnage this year. Really hope Inzaghi bags the CL.
  16. Bielefeld miss an absolute sitter early doors. Leathers the bar from 6 yards out.

    Scott McTominay

Inter is in a Champions League final. Their second CL final in 2 years. Napoli beat them to the trophy, and McTominay beat all of these players to the player of the year award. They have players like Dumfries, Lautaro Martinez and Barella. Why didn't these players achieve the trophy and PoTS in such an easy league? Last season the only team able to stop Leverkusen was Atalanta. They also eliminated Liverpool.
  18. Aye they started in the prelims as well I think they were saying on comms. The wife’s step sister and her fella have gone over for it so chuffed for them tbh.
  19. So, in a way, they were the best team in the Champions League then really?
  20. I'm not local so maybe I don't get it, but I'm much more interested in having the derbies back than watching another terrible season of Sheffield United. Plus watching them set a goals conceded record will be good fun.
  21. It's a good thing for North East football, IMO. This season our closest game was Man City/Man United I think?
  22. Wow - that’s some achievement - fair play to them
