Just hope the tourists turn up for this one like they did against PSG, Arsenal etc etc. Our whole future rides on less than 5,000 people making noise.

That corner he took. It was like he had to put every last ounce of effort in his body into just getting the ball near the penalty spot

Getting mixed up with 12am and 12pm reminded me of our trip to Oz in 2016 😂 Had to get up to watch our 8pm (UK) ko against Leicester at a casino (Star) near Darling Harbour. I think it was 5am, deffo 5am 😂😂 Place was empty apart from a few Chinese and I'm not sure having a couple of ales was good prep for the subsequent sightseeing. Long day, for sure. Ps we got beat 1 zip -
Casual cunt.

A young man still learning his craft, playing in the greatest league in the world, getting better every week. Let's not write him off just yet.......
-
When he played with Rondon in the AM role, that was a good time. Love me some Ayoze.
-
Tried to sign him before he went to PSG

Because stats don't mean that much when key players are missing. I'll bet all those games you are citing we had Joelinton playing. Of course a draw is very likely. A win is also likely but when two top teams go head to head it doesn't necessarily mean a win is guaranteed for Newcastle when one of our key players is out.

They'll be allowed to sell the toilets in the stadium for a billion quid as reward. -
Was my thoughts on squad building rather than what to do next window but I understand your point. If we can get Livra full speed and we can solve RW from within our current group, the squad then needs imo - 1. New no.1 2. Cover central mid 3. Cover striker 4. Cover central defence

While 12pm is now recognised as correct, the proper term is still 12 noon. -
As nervy as it is, in Eddie we trust.

If football was that predictable the bookies wouldn't take bets on it. -
Agreed. He’s 27 😃, and started three league games in Brazil…

Should be Labia for that bunch of cunts.

I also heard Foo King Mings was the best Chinese takeaway in Walker

They'll bottle it the more pressure they are under! -
Could end up in an Austria West Germany 1982 scenario between Forest and Chelsea on the last day if we don't beat Chelsea. Which, as its Chelsea, will be completely endorsed.

It's why we're gonna need to root for arsenal to beat Liverpool this weekend but I doubt they will. Liverpool are at home, and won't want to lose two in a row (especially if this is against arsenal) so they will actually try -

It's not completely out of question to think that we couldnt draw arsenal and beat everton if we draw to Chelsea this weekend, which assuming villa don't win all their remaining games, could be enough assuming that final game between forest and Chelsea doesn't end in a draw. Still much more difficult so I agree we really need to beat Chelsea this weekend -
I wonder if say a longstaff sale allows a hidden gem for under 20m say as a replacement or go towards the pot for other positions?
-
Just realised Arsenal may need result against us to secure champions league, not ideal.

In goal both Pope and Dubravka have provided room for doubt while someone who could play out from the back seems like an obvious evolution. On the other hand I think it's fanciful to reckon that a new right winger would replicate Murphy's numbers or prove transformative to our play. All of our wingers get good numbers in terms of goals and assists but are lacking in the buildup, and if we're going to solve some of our creativity or ball retention issues I think you could just as well look to the midfield where we sometimes lack guile and control, with Willock and Longstaff now unreliable as backups. Then again if we are talking about need rather than changes and improvements to our style of play, a backup striker is probably the biggest imperative because the fall off from Isak seems huge. Pope and Dubravka still look like Premier League players and we can rejig the squad elsewhere, but right now an injury to Isak would leave us without threat or a focal point. So I reckon at least four new signings, including a new goalkeeper and centre-back then at least a couple of players who can add cover and competition at centre midfield, right wing and striker.
-
I doubt we can afford to fill all those roles at least without selling isak. We're gonna have to decide which positions be we can afford to leave as is for at least another year. Pope and dubravka aren't great keepers but they are decent enough to get by so think we should hold onto them for now. I think defense and right wing are the areas we need to strengthen the most, particularly as we don't have enough cover in these areas.
