My issue with Sancho is his lack of professionalism and the fact that he’s seemingly got the heart of a pea. The lad plays like he’s afraid the grass might tackle him.
-
Can only see Trafford being done in June. I’d expect 90% of all transfers to happen in the real window.
-
Reckon based on not much there's a chance we sign someone before the PSR deadline at the end of June but that most happens after. What I wonder with sporting directors is that yes they're supposed to make the deals. But if you're ambitious player, talking direct to the manager who wants you and can explain his plans must be much more of an incentive. Managers can't do everything, but you can imagine Eddie is chomping at the bit to make things happen.
-
Read this as Christian Weston Chandler. I need to get off the internet for a bit.
-
Grealish isn't a central midfielder, I don't see how such a swap makes any sense, even if you ignore the finances.
-
Funny to me. Fuck Maldini off because they were not happy, and how they've gone about the business since then has been nothing but a train wreck. Get what they deserve.
-
If we could swap squad place of Willock to Grealish, and it not come with such big sums, we'd be far better off. Because they're similar in what they can bring (LCM, travelling with the ball, work rate), with Grealish being far better at the final pass element. It's just Willock is probably on like £60k pw and Grealish would still be 3 times that if Man City covered wages for rest of his contract.
-
My issue with Sancho isn't even really whether he's a dickhead or not tbh, it's that he's not very good. He's like the anti-Arjen Robben, you know exactly what he's going to do but you can do anything about it.
-
In addition to this, I think our first transfer will come from out of nowhere and only break when it's almost done.
-
Im still not expecting anything until July. Most players are now either at the CWC or on holiday. Especially as the international break has ended.
-
Windows shut again isnt it. They only opened it for a bit so Chelsea could sign some players to help them progress in the Club World Cup to help them further with PSR as they are running out of ideas.
-
I don't think it is, but in order to adjust to the Premier League, he needed to reassess his ideas, go on a learning curve and adapt. He didn't seem willing to do that, and reacted badly to criticism.
-
Yeah, rolling points would be a good middle ground for away games. The hardcore lads and lasses who travel to every single home and away shouldn’t be set back to 0 at the start of each season And for members building up home points, they could either start it from 0 right now, which is shan on people who've been to loads of games over the last few years but it's better than nowt Or they could look back at purchase history / ballot applications for the last few seasons and use that as a starting point
-
Especially considering the shit Almiron got on here was a million times worse.
-
Think they need to find a happy medium between what we do and what Chelsea do. @AyeDubbleYoomakes a very valid point that it's unfair that you can travel to 100s of away games but it all counts for nothing as your points get wiped to zero after every season (in the event of their being a high profile game in the first month pf the new season they do take into account the previous seasons loyalty points). Personally I always thought a 3 year rolling system would be fairer. I know loads of fans who've got 150+ points and have never done an away game in years, and most of their points were "earned" by letting others use their ticket.

New conetract for Wilson

Bit of a brutal window for Milan. Board are trying to sell Loftus Cheek, Rafa Leao wants out, Reijnders gone and Hernandez and Maignan likely to go at knockdown prices.

[LCF] Newcastle United 2-1 Liverpool - NUFC LEAGUE CUP WINNERS

Don't think I'll ever forget when that header went in. First time I felt like we could actually win a trophy in my lifetime. -
Today feels like a good day to announce some good news @NUFC.
-
I wouldn't be surprised with the odd loan deal just to bulk out the squad, given the number of games we'll have coming up. On football alone Grealish might fit into that, and may also be able unlock a low block better than many. Moot point anyway as I doubt it would be a thing.

Sancho plays for himself foremost before the team. End of discussion really.
-
With Sancho I do think there’s a player there. He’s a confidence player but the two clubs he’s played at are absolutely toxic, Man U say no more but when Chelsea with their million players can’t be the best when you’re trying to find your way back to full form and fitness. That spell he had on loan at Dortmund where he played CL final he was starting to show flashes of the old Sancho towards the end. I do think if anyone could fix him so to speak it would be Howe.
-
We have absolutely no need for Grealish. Not much more to analyse than that imo.
-
I like the idea of loyalty points although starting from 0 feels a bit bad after going to hundreds of games Don’t see the point of an ST waiting list really, but I would join. Must be about 100 come up every season, if not less.

In regards to Grealish, obvious talent there and underneath there’s a thoroughly decent lad who’s always got time for fans etc etc. However there are massive red flags about his professionalism in regards to fitness. Rumours persist about his drinking (borderline alki and one to worry about when he retires) and his diet. There’s no question that Peps style has stifled his game but like most have said on here - is he worth the wage outlay when there’s too many questions about him? Probably not. That being said, if anyone can rehabilitate the lad it’s Eddie. . . .
