More annoyed by the Brighton game. We were pretty good for chunks of that. West Ham we were awful throughout. I've started to assume that Forest will need a result against Chelsea to confirm CL. But I look at their fixtures and they could have it wrapped up. If they get 6 points between West Ham & Palace (A) + Brentford (H) they will have it wrapped up. Leicester is a formality.

Am I missing something? Last time I looked at the table we were 3rd.

He hasn't been that good this season really in terms of general play. But he does have a very good eye for stealing goals when played a bit further forward. I was never down on signing him personally. Definitely think he would have been a very good fourth midfielder to strengthen that area as would Gallagher have been who people were equally not convinced on. However he is not really the right age profile nor would he have been a game changing signing.

This is where I am. There's been a top 3 for a few seasons now and there's a block of clubs behind that. We are in that block. I think we are a good summer window away from separating ourselves from that block and getting much closer to the top 3. 71 points 60 points Hopefully 68-71 points this season With a great transfer window and a bit of luck, we can probably land in the 72-84 bracket next season. Probably not enough to win a league title, but maybe good enough for a bit of a challenge and to make CL qualification default. I feel like we need a season like that pretty soon or our best players should want to leave.

This is sad if true, that league used to boast the likes of R9, Crespo, Shevchenko, Seedorf, Adriano to name but a few. What a tragic falloff.

That West Ham games still irritates me whenever it comes up. They were awful at that point of the season and we rolled over. Losing to Brighton and Fulham is by the by, could happen to any team in the league, they are both very good.

Watched this dude for almost a decade in the Prem, he's not a good player. Congrats on whatever improvements he may be showing in Italy but let's relax on the revisionism. Not long before someone suggests we should sign Anthony.

Tbf all of the Play Off hopefuls have no form and are shite. They've got as good a chance of anyone in getting promoted. Whichever of the 4 come up though it's going to be a truely miserable season for them next season. Southampton were far better than all four of them.

Yep. I guess a lot of titles are decided on the last day, which removes the opportunity, but I think you're right about titles that are won early.

The game straight after? That's good. From memory I don't think it happens as often as you would think.
