Why is it confusing ? It's on free say (skys version of freeview) Sky and Virgin. Isn't on Freeview as yet.

I've just read the whole article on the Liverpool match thats on there site and I have to say it's all true. They aren't even having to much of a go at Sam they are simply saying things have to improve.

The men don't get paid do they ? Well there clubs might still pay them but England don't therefore the woman are getting more than the men surely ?

Nobby had no pace and that's the exact type of player Milner should be pushing himself to become.

If played on the correct wings and told they can push forward I don't see a problem with either. If they are on the wrong wings they either put in crap crosses or have to back track to whip one in with their correct foot which happened constantly last Saturday.

if we are doing well and he thinks he can take us further he'll stay. I wouldn't be so sure. Don't get me wrong I'm not wanting shot of Sam even though he does do my head in sometimes with his stupid formation choices or player positioning (Milner left Charlie boy right ARGGHHHH) but I think as a club we must look to 3 years down the line and look at who we are going to bring in and how we are going to bring them in. Our problem in the past has been our search for the manager when one has left and the total change in players coaching staff etc. We need to make sure that's not there in the future. That of course means the next manager is part of the current staff ASAP.

One minor problem. We can't have a stable club with our current manager as he has already said he will retire when he's 55 so we've only got a few more years of him at most then he'll be off.

It would have to be 4-3-3 then cause there is not a hope in hell that Sam would drop Owen.

I've only read the quoted bit of text on here and not the whole article but it sounds more like a mouth piece from the thoughts of the club than a comment from a fan. To have a go at the support after a performance that was given by the players just seems strange. I've no problem them having a general pop at the fans who have a go regardless of performance, result or stuff like that. Surely after a performance like Saturdays the people who deserve the criticism are those on the pitch ?

If I was choosing not sure i'd play Barton unless he's alot more fit than he was against Portsmouth. He looked yards off the pace and needed plenty of reserve football before he was playing 90 minutes of first team each week. If we must have a defensive midfield style player in the middle then we could do a lot worse than Faye. Partner him with Emre and we'd have a decent attacking option alongside him as well. If it's who will he play it depends on whether Viduka is fit. If he's not then Smith will be up front again and it will be barton and Geremi in the middle. If Viduka is fit however it'll be Smith and Geremi or Barton though he might stick Geremi on the right.

Exactly what I thought. She seemed to be saying lines that she thought Motson or Davies would come out with. Nail head hit. If she's going to be a success, she needs to develop her own style. It's not as though the traditional male style of commentating is all that entertaining or interesting. More often than not, it gets on the nerves. I'm thinking the same. I'm not to bothered about her being female more the fact she's crap at commentating.

So by that we were a success under KK ? I wouldn't say we were I'd say we were close but won nothing. I don't just mean this season I mean generally and as such I say the only way to be a success is to win something.

Following on from the will big Sam bring success thread, what exactly would you call success at the club ? For me nothing less than a trophy can be classed as success.

Surely succeed means to win stuff and with that I don't think he will because by the sounds of things he's looking to go after about 4 years so no I don't think he will succeed but I do think the club will be in a healthy position for the next guy.

Surely it makes sense to get it in place now as hopefully with the team progressing we will get to a point where we are in Europe alot, doing well in cups and fighting for the title/top 4 again and at that point the stadium would be ready and we could get close to 60,000. Plus it's free so why not.

If you can get one of the best managers around then sometimes you might have to upset a few people as these sort of chances don't come round very often. Don't think we have a cat in hells chance of getting him though.
