He'll need to find a way to park the fucking caravan next week.

A direct consequence of not being sure about what division we were going to be participating (nearly used 'competing' there) in until the final 15 minutes of the last game of the season. Preparing a side for a PL campaign would be a lot different to preparing one to get out of the Championship. Absolutely no surprise to me that we've started this season in exactly the same manner we finished the last one. Uninterested, disorganised at the back and offering little threat against the most mediocre of opposition. This should have been a fresh start and nothing's changed.

It's only a friendly... It's only a friendly... It's only a friendly... It's only a friendly...

Need at least another CB in (2 if Colo goes) and a winger minimum. This is also dependant on replacing anyone who leaves in the next month too.

The home and away kits are sensational like. Not fussed on the 3rd one.

Clinging on to the hope that McClaren is putting these sides out as a nudge to the board to highlight just how light we are in some areas. Surely he can see that the best CBs we have are woefully inadequate and their back-ups are even worse still? Getting dicked by York City and the fucking Portland timbers, pre-season or not, doesn't bode well for us taking on really good teams who'll simply smash us to pieces unless we invest significantly. Therein lies the problem, as ever.

To the naked eye, perhaps. Look at the stats mate.

Probably not the wisest of decisions to let Newcastle, Sunderland and Boro all play away in Yorkshire on the same night. Let's hope the idiots behave themselves on the way back up.

Continuing to make our own luck I see.

Not sure I'd even want to go to watch them even if it was free.

The lack of sponsor is the kicker for me. Back to basics ftw.

Hear, hear. Bought one for myself and once I've figured out which size to buy for the boy he's getting one too. No way will he be used as a walking advert for loan sharks, fuck that.

Refuse to believe it. No one would be that stupid.

At what point does personal pride come into it though? Surely he knows himself that he's out of his depth to such an extent that his own fans ridicule him. At what point does he think "I'm getting rinsed every fucking week here, I'm showing myself up. I'll just look for another club a division lower." I can understand the ego thing of wanting to stay in the PL. I can understand wanting to milk the opportunity for all its worth but come on, he's got to look himself in the mirror and his own pride needs to tell him to move on.

Keogh looks as bad as Williamson. I can't think of a worse endorsement. We'd get a better CH if we scouted the Northern League.

Shouldn't have to come to this. It shouldn't need someone to come in and sign him to stop him from appearing, his performances have been fucking dreadful for years and he's still getting a game. I've stopped asking the question "just how badly does he need to play to get dropped for good?" as he continues to plumb new depths and still gets his shirt. I'd even go as far as saying him starting negates all the positives that come from signing Wijnaldum and Mitrovic, he's that bad. He needs to be dropped permanently and never called upon again. If someone is daft enough to take him then so be it but his performances justify the decision to never pick him ever again. If McClaren can't see this and still picks him then we may as well give up, it's pointless.

Straight from the official Palace twitter account. There's some other Pards comments too there. Vile man. No man, avoiding responsibility for anything that goes wrong. It's never him or his fault.
-
Obviously he's being cagey as I distinctly recall Ashley saying we were going to make our own luck from now on. I for one fully expect them to deliver more high quality signings as they never tell lies, mislead fans or create unrealistic expectations in the fanbase. #buythefuckingcart

"Told you not to go for the grey Steve, you can see your skid marks through your trousers"

Fuck him. He's been on the slide for a few years now and isn't going to get any better. We've shipped 190 league goals over the last 3 seasons and I'd wager he's been on the park for the vast majority of them, obviously he's not been at fault for them all, that's ridiculous but he's been at the heart of a very disorganised and porous back 4. As long as he's replaced then I won't lose a single second'd sleep over him, he was excellent 4 seasons ago but he's now a liability.

When he's playing well he can be a massive handful to almost any side. His stamina is tremendous and he's capable of carrying the ball at speed and committing defenders. Drop him into a good team and I think he'd shine. Stood out like a peanut in a pile of shit at times over the last year or 2.
