  1. I also think the fact he's so willing to fall on his sword seems like he knows he's made a mistake and is almost daring them to sack him so it releases him from it all. Even a poor coach can take what he's given and go someway towards changing it and making it work. This fucker has walked in and almost said - "this isn't exactly what I need. I need to a complete blank canvas or you may as well get rid of me". He's had a go at changing it but he's failed and I think he knows it too. It seems like it's just damage limitation at this point

    Joelinton

This tank fit to play on Sunday? Any idea?
  3. I think my overarching issues with this particular set of wankers is Amorim. I like him as a person and find he generally comes off quite well - he's honest (maybe too honest at times) and he has dug his heels in and maintained he's going to use his system come hell or high water. Could be seen as a bit stubborn but he's single-minded enough to reinforce it - he's not changing shit. My main problem is the fact he can't get it to work. If he's a mint coach then surely he can take individual players and tweak them to fit the system he's brought in? I understand there will be loads of players who don't quite fit his system but surely his job is to take what he's got and improve them? He sees them for hours and hours every single week and if he was any good he could mould them into a team capable of at least carrying out simple instructions, scoring goals and winning games? You can't expect a manager to walk into a dressing room and say "nah, these aren't suitable. I need a new squad". You can't just replace the fucking lot of them with players who are capable of playing 3-4-3. At some point you have to be good enough to actually coach the players you've got into playing in that system? I mean, that's his job. He's a coach so coach the players to change the way they play and function? If he's not capable of that then what the absolute fuck is he doing there? I like him but he seems utterly ineffective and the results back this up. He's failing miserably in every aspect. He's not prepared to change system, he can't get the most out of what he has, he can't change the way they play and his team gets dicked regularly - nothing works and he can't improve it. Any other club and he'd be out on his arse by now
  4. Can only hope these gutless pieces of shit can summon up enough professional pride to actually give Villa a game on Sunday. I'm not holding my breath, these cunts have no standards at all. They're relentlessly pathetic and have zero heart or drive to win anything though. They've been focussing on the EL for the past 3 months and still lost the cunt
  5. Just had zero cutting edge tonight, they pressed and pushed but never really looked like cutting Spurs open and that's pretty shit tbh. Spurs have shipped loads this season and Man U never really made them work for the clean sheet, Vicario made a few decent a few decent saves but nothing ridiculous. Spurs offered virtually zero at the other end and wound up winning it. Game felt like like watching 2 morons playing table-tennis tbh
  6. Don't see a lot of goals like that any more. Fucking cracker like
  7. Never go back. One of life's mottos - never, ever go back
  8. Hasn't realised just how close Pope got to that Rice shot. It was really well hit and a nice finish but it's only about 2 inches from being pushed around the past. Would have been a brilliant save mind
  9. Start the game like we started on Sunday and we'll win it within the first 30 mins. Don't think they'll offer much resistance if we score one early, the place should be absolutely bouncing and scoring early eases all of the nerves and makes a Pickford worldie an irrelevance. They're weak defensively, their full backs are shit and they're poor at CF. Score early and we'll breeze past these cunts
  10. I think we'll start quickly and score early and that'll settle us down. We eventually get the second, they kinda give up and we score one more to seal it 3-0
  11. Think this is right. The probabilities are my own but I think it's about right Apologies if I've fucked it... *I've also just assumed that City will get enough from Bournemouth and Fulham too. I'll be fucked if I'm bringing them into it*
  12. Howe has a huge decision to make this week, don't think Gordon is giving enough to justify an automatic start next week. Certainly should be Barnes starting at LW next Sunday with either Murphy or Gordon on the right. He's looked miles away from his own high standards for a while now and his sloppiness today cost us the winning goal today. If Joelinton is fit then I think I'd go with Murphy on the right and give Gordon 35 mins off the bench to use his pace against a tiring Everton. We've been in the position of not having anything off the bench for a month now and he's the last one you'd want to see if you're Ashley Young or Mykolenko. No one has any idea what's going on in his head but he's playing like he's unhappy with something. He certainly doesn't look like he's enjoying his football atm. Huge week for everyone at the club, need every oar in the water right now
  13. Needed to convert one of those early chances in the first half, would have given us something to hang on to. Always felt that missing the lot would leave us short, you can't miss every chance and complain later
  14. We've been poor this second half but Arsenal came out and definitely stepped it up a few gears. We've not been able to match them but it's arsenal who've raised their tempo and we're now chasing it and don't look great in the process
  15. That's on Gordon unfortunately. Dwelling on it. Sloppy as fuck
  16. Gordon is frustrating. He's going down easily which I don't like but he's also just doing what others do regularly and they get rewarded for it too. I don't like the contact = collapse thing but you either give it every time or you ignore it every time. Atm some players always get it and some players never, it's that inconsistency thing again with refs

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

I'd honestly have him here for a year or 2. We are going to have a huge number of games and he's reliable enough to come in for a game or 2 to allow us to rotate Bruno, Tonali and Joelinton. No-one's saying he's exceptional or at the peak of his powers but he'd be a smart move imo. He'd never start in your best XI but he'd get plenty of minutes, we need to pad the squad out and on a free it would be a very pragmatic signing
  18. Feels like the natural end to Everton's season this, not sure they'll be there mentally next week. Hope not anyway, early goal is crucial for us
  19. Can't deny I'd be a bit disappointed if we fell out of the CL places at this stage, really, really want that CL football assured asap. However, the absolute worst case scenario for the end is looking like a major trophy and a place in the EL next year. That scenario still represents the best season's achievement I've ever known - the worst that can happen is still the best I've ever known. That's quite a large and shiny silver lining imo
  20. We were always going to need to beat Everton on the final day if we were going to make it. Have to assume the other clubs will get their results whilst hoping they slip up at some point. It's easy now - WIN AND IN

Think it comes down to who needs CL more, they both want it but who would it hurt the most of one was to lose out. I think the answer is Spurs. Man U are a giant of a club and will still have huge amounts of money pouring into the club. We know there's a pretty good chance they waste a large chunk of it due the incompetence of those running the club but getting the CL means they will just have even more to spend. Spurs are a lot smaller and not getting that CL cash injection will have a much bigger negative impact on their finances. I genuinely think we've passed them regards the stuff on the pitch and a sustained length of time outside of the CL allows us a better chance to catch and pass them off the pitch too. For those reasons unfortunately I have to admit I'd prefer to see Man U win it. Ideally they'll kick the absolute fuck out of each other and they both somehow manage to disgrace themselves in the process. Also don't like Postecoglu either, much prefer to see that fat mess squirming in his postmatch interview. I'll hate watch it (at best)
