We've certainly bottomed out and have gradually began to put things right both on and off the pitch. The squad seems much more positive and united. We've benefitted from a bit of stability by having Hughton in charge and we've scored goals and won games. The finances appear to be under control and Ashley is running a much tighter ship financially. The board appear to be learning from past mistakes and things are looking up. The clincher for me though is the mood in the stands. 08/09 was a fucking spiteful season for us and going to the games was getting to be a bit of a chore. The fans were dreading the games and the atmosphere was awful and negative. Last season put the smile back on the faces of the crowd, the mood changed and we began to enjoy things again, the momentum is there now and a good window will lead to bigger crowds and things growing again.... This club is huge and it's like a juggernaut - if we manage to get it right on the park this season then we'll carry that momentum and in a couple of years we'll be right up there competing for Europe again. It's all in place for this club to be a success with a bit of investment but we all know it could go pear-shaped at any time.

He has been out on loan to Carlisle and Falkirk but I'd agree totally with that. Keepers get better with experience and he should have been playing every week for the last few years.

So how long would you give Harper then? You've mentioned the first and third at Man U, if he's still letting in goals like that on a semi-regular basis then when do you make the change? Not being arsey btw, just wondering when your patience would break. I've already said I'd like to give him til Xmas but wouldn't be frightened to bring Krul in sooner if need be.
-
Surely you can understand why though? For all Krul's faults he seems very agile and saves shots that Harper simply can't anymore. Harper isn't getting any better, younger or quicker so it's natural to look to the next in line.
-
I was there '88 wasn't it ? 89/90 according to .com Still a shite record all the same. Don't fancy our chances if Carroll's out though.
-
One's got a future, the other's got a past... Krul's not perfect by any stretch of the imagination. He lacks a bit of composure and needs games to develop his decision-making. He's a bit rash. On the other hand Harper is getting older and slower and is conceding goals I'd expect a younger, more agile keeper to save comfortably. The ideal situation would be to attach Harper's head onto Krul's body. I'd give Harper til about Xmas to prove he's still up to it and look to bring in Krul more as the season goes on.

Only one win in the last 50 years at Molineux? Long overdue a win here tbh. Fuck it, 1-2.

Now that Spurs have qualified for the MEGA-SUPER-HAPPY-JACKPOT-LEAGUE they've got a bit of cash to spend and if they get a striker or 2 coming in then Keane will move on. It might be to us or it might not be. Let's see what happens

£18 to watch a non-league game? Fuck me. Recession? What recession?
-
Nah it's fine, this fucking kid can play.
-
Well suited to playing in this league then.

Will you be having your cup of spunk before or after dinner?
-
You might be right. He did say when he went back that he'd spoke to Hughton and he'd offered him a central playmaker role, didn't he? I've read that much fucking drivel in this thread I've forgotten who said what and when tbh.

I'd like to think that the main detals of his contract were sorted when he came over 2 weeks ago. I know we officially said we were refusing to talk to him without permission but I think we may have had the odd chat or 3 to sort something out. You never know though.
-
Shola's Shola. He's fucking useless but he can do a job and every now and again shows something. Got no idea what he's going to do when he retires though. Can you imagine what he'll be up to between the ages of 35 -70? The cunt will be as mad as a pan of crabs.
-
Unless Spurs have got someone fantastical lined up, I can't belive they'd loan us Keane. Who'd pay his wages for a start? He's better (and different) to what we've got though obviously.
-
Good sides- They're exactly the same only Barton plays 10 yards further forward at home... Its more about Barton being more defence minded away from home You missed off the FM arrows.

So far we've brought in: Perch, Gosling, Campbell, Tiote, Ben Arfa (loan, hopefully) If Taylor goes out of the door for about £3m then we'll have brought in all of that lot for a couple of million quid net. That's a superb transfer window considering that statement. There's even the option of getting another defender or striker in on loan which wouldn't cost too much.

Let's just get the bugger signed first, eh? 5 pm Friday deadine to play on the Saturday isn't it? Noon perhaps?
-
Unchanged and 1-1. Carroll probably.

Would this knowledge come from someone who has Ranger directly in front of him in the pecking order by any chance? 'Stop being obtuse'. It clearly rankled. Get in.
