Serious question - why doesn't their (minted) owner seem to not want to put a single penny into his club to push it forward? I understand they've got a model blah blah blah but what's the point of being wealthy if he has no intention of spending anything? Even a few million per year pumped into things would help? He's literally sitting on his hands and watching his club almost compete

Do like the fact we've finished preseason with a couple of clean sheets, I know it's only friendlies and they don't mean much but it's nice that we've tightened things up in the last few games. They're there to get fitness up obviously but the unit will benefit from a bit of confidence that shutting the opposition out brings. I'd also like them to trial playing on while a player is down with a (minor) injury. No reason to stop the entire game if someone needs their knee or ankle checking for 30 seconds or whatever. Obviously if it's genuinely serious then play stops and the player gets the help they need but if that's the case then the rejoin the game after a mandatory 5 minute off the park for treatment. If they need a sub then that happens immediately and play restarts asap. Incidents like Eriksen are thankfully very, very rare and that type of thing is the exception clearly.

If they were serious about cracking down on the abuse of officials by managers then they should have dragged Klopp over the coals for what he did last season. But he got a slap on the wrist instead... I'd like to see us register Tindall as a sub, pretend he's coming off the bench to play and have exactly the same conversations with Howe
