Whole season has just been us wandering around in a field full of rakes just waiting to be stepped on. Season can die in a fucking fire, I'm done
-
Absolutely delighted for him. He desperately needed a few wins and the team went out and got them for him. He changed things up for both games and ended up on the right side of things. He's an absolute diamond of a bloke but needed to get some results and he's done so. We need a positive end to the season. Credit to him for changing it for Spurs and changing it again for Villa - 2 away wins in a week is huge. Needs to build on it but it's been a great week for him
-
The very fact he jumped INSIDE the box, handled it INSIDE the box and landed INSIDE the box clearly meant the offence took place a yard OUTSIDE the box. They need fucking sacking. I'm not one for blaming refs for losing and this proves it. We won and I'm still fucking livid with the cunts
-
Really hope this isn't swept under the carpet because we ended up winning. Us winning doesn't get these cunts off the hook, their decisions tonight need to be held against them and they need to be put on the spot and asked to explain each and every single one of them to their bosses. At best it's utter incompetence and at worst it's out right corruption - take your fucking pick folks. It's Sunday League, Instagram -take a look at this shit!!!1! levels of officiating. For it to happen in the 4th Round of the FA Cup with the British public watching needs to have some fucking consequences like
-
This has been one of the worst officiating displays I think I've ever seen tonight. It's beyond incompetence and one of the exact reasons why VAR was brought in - to correct utterly woeful/corrupt decisions so the game is played out with a semblance of balance and impartiality. Ref and linos tonight needs demoting immediately, they're beyond shit
-
They certainly ate
-
They just all the hallmarks of a team that are absolutely petrified to even play the game, hence the lack of movement Hoddle was banging on about. None of them want the ball, none of them seem to want to take any responsibility and a lot of them are hiding and just leaving it to someone else. It looks eerily familiar to us in 09, just an inherent lack of confidence and bottle which renders anything else completely moot. You can pick who you like, play them where you like but if they're all hiding and none of them want the ball then it just doesn't fucking matter. Frank would have taken them down
-
Must admit I was astonished when they, as the home side, against us, with the utterly dreadful away record, decided that letting us have the ball for 85% of the time in which we settled into the game and started landing some punches was the best way to start the game. I'll never be able to answer it but it was incredible to see even if it did benefit us. They looked even worse than Burnley when we went there and slapped them, at least put up a bit of resistance for more than a random 10 minute period. Firmly believe that if they hadn't sacked the pervert this morning and kept faith with him he'd have been odds on to take them down, they were that bad. We've first hand experience of it and this Spurs team are exceptionally poor AND gutless AND poorly managed. He'd have taken them down imho
-
Rolled the dice a bit with the starting XI but it worked and he got a tune out of them tonight. Totally deserved too, no flukes, bossed the first half and responded really well when they equalised. If getting a bit unorthodox and mixing shit up works then I'm all for it. Delighted for him personally, he desperately needed a result and performance and he got it tonight. That's going to keep the wolf from the door

That's a let off. Should be 1-1
-
Huge 10-15 mins coming up now. Get through to 55-60 mins still leading and their fans will hit the roof and they'll panic
-
Sorry, I meant the 433 with alternating Wissa and Wolt. Starting Gordon I think changes it into more of a 4-6-0. Fuck it, we're in a huge rut and maybe it needs something insane/ridiculous like this to get out of it?
-
Not the line up I was expecting like but at least he dodges the 'predictability' jibes, absolutely no way pervert Frank was expecting that XI. As far as Howe's concerned then I don't think he's got anything to lose by shaking it up totally - it's not like the 433 has been successful recently is it?
-
The latest shit result doesn't start the discussion? I'm not following? I'll just leave it
-
It's all of the stuff that he can control that's pissing people off. The football is dire and results are shocking. Everyone accepts the hierarchy is deeply flawed but the stuff happening on the pitch is beyond awful. Howe controls all of that, that's his remit
-
No, there's loads of stuff wrong off the park, you didn't imagine it But Howe's responsible for the stuff on it. He's picking the team, deciding tactics, training them each day, making subs and keeping them motivated. There has to be some accountability at some stage?
-
So there's some kind of responsibility. We've been awful for months on end, I know we've had some good results along the way and we've winged it now and again but they've been the exceptions rather than the rule. Impossible to credit him for the wins and the cups and absolve him for the losses. He's the manager, it's his team and he's calling 100% of the shots
-
That's fair enough and I'll concede he's been let down massively off the park. The leadership has also been piss poor and that has made Howe's job really difficult. All that said doesn't excuse the performances of Howe's team once they cross the white line, that's on him. There has to be some accountability due the actual football being served up at some point. Pointing to issues off the field is fair enough, justifying what were seeing during matches is something else completely
-
We've gone backwards on the field massively, we're just awful to watch and a dream to play against. We're far worse than we were a few years go despite huge investment, the complete lack of intensity, the inability to unlock defences, the inability to perform the basics the game, the lack of movement, the absence of energy and enthusiasm, passive, meek negative and general slip in standards has been fucking shocking. There's so much wrong within the club, on and off the park, I don't think Howe's got it him to fix it. He's definitely on borrowed time. The season has been a disaster and I can't wait for it to over. We're so fucking poor man, it's painful to watch, we've gone backwards very fucking quickly
-
This has been abysmal. Flick on from a corner and a converted pen at home to Brentford and it's still not enough for a fucking point as we've been opened up and manhandled all night. Utter dogshit served up virtually every fixture, no one should have been surprised by this tonight, this was a perfectly winnable fixture but we've fucked it. Again
-
Genuinely can't wait for this season to end, it's been nothing more than frustration and pigshit for 7 months already
-
Aye, this is me too. Not saying I love the shirt, I'll reserve judgement until I see it in the flesh, but I do like the idea they've been a bit wacky and done something we've never really seen before. You need to mix it up now and again or you get the complaints that all home kits are too similar. Can't have it both ways really
-
You can't have results like this against the current top 14 sides and expect to qualify for Europe. I'm fully aware we've beaten the shite at home that's below that cut-off point but 3 wins against City, Fulham & Everton is absolutely fucking gash, don't care how you slice it we're no longer a good team nor a team whom others fear. I've read the word 'transitional season' way too many times over the last few months - performances and results have been poor for quite a while now. Transition implies change and a gradual evolution into something better - I'm not seeing that, if anything we're more predictable, dull, blunt and passive as we've ever been since Howe was appointed
