Any possibility Strawberry Place could close as a road and the stadium and the newly bought land just blend into 1 area? They close it for gigs for hours on end and people managed to navigate a different route, is it possible to do it permanently?
-
Yeah, I'm pretty much here too. Football-wise he looks like exactly the sort we'd be after but if there's any truth or substance to these awful tweets/opinions then I don't think we'd bother. It's either a random report about player X signing for club Y or it's legit or they've ratfucked him and he's clean enough.

Agree with the 'tall Willock' comparison, looks mobile, big, nice feet and still young. He'll not be the finished article obviously but £15mish is about the going rate for a squad player. He'll be developed and improved and he'll hold his value if it ultimately doesn't work out. He's the first squad improvement player, literally Hayden/Hendrick out and this lad in. More please, Edward

Scotteth Minteth surely? Imagine Mike Tyson trying to say that

Know absolutely nothing about this skillful fuck

Think it was straight after Leicester? Or maybe I just heard what I wanted to hear

Getting top 4 felt massive to the entire club, like a genuinely game-changing success and put us way ahead of schedule as acknowledged by Howe. I just don't see us NOT taking advantage this summer by going pretty big and trying to cement top 5 or 6 next season too. I'd expect most of the dollar to be spent from July onwards (next accounting year I think?) and they can concentrate on growing the income to compensate in the future. £140m+ net

Dare I even ask about long sleeved versions?

Sharp as a dart that. Amazing how just having the sponsor the same colours as the shirt ties it all together. Might even buy one tbh

Am I right in thinking the financial year ends on June 30th? Any buys after then would obviously go into the following set of accounts I assume?
-
Yep, realised that. Was thinking he'd be 28 at the end of his contract, my mistake
-
28 and 2 years left - it's stick or twist. He's still valuable but he's still contributing, it's not an obvious decision either way and only time will tell if they've got it right regardless of what the club decides to do. I think he'll go and I think the club will ultimately be proved correct. I fucking hope so anyway. The club comes first.
-
Crunch time in his career tbh. 2 years left so it's the summer for either a shiny new contract or move him on before he's worth nothing. Tough decision but personally I'd move him on for any decent money (£25m+) this summer. Love watching him play, he's entertaining and his attitude is great but his fitness record is patchy at best and doesn't seem a natural fit for the style Howe wants to play. His best role would be off the bench but that would put him in the 'expensive luxury' category and I don't we can afford that. What we absolutely can't afford to do with him this summer is nothing, it's one or the other. Letting him see out his contract and leave for nothing is the worst option. We do need to sell eventually to balance the books, we can't just carry on bringing players in without losing a few too. Tough decisions to make though

Abraham looks proper fucked here, legs don't normally bend in the way his just have

Roma are fucking nuts

Honest question - who is making all of these signings for Chelsea? What's the procedure for targeting/scouting/negotiating all of these players every window? How much input does the boss actually have and is Poch calling the shots as he's rebuilding 'his' squad? It's about as disorganised and random as you can get, there's no pattern whatsoever, it's like a 9 year old playing monopoly for the first time, just buying fucking everything they land on. It's embarrassing in it's lack of thought and strategy.
-
Can I suggest either take the squabbles to pms or just ignore each other lads? Absolutely no need for any Newcastle fans to fall out after the season we've just had. Just nip it in the bud before it gets silly please, yeah?
-
Chelsea are at the bottom of a FFP shaped hole, personally feel offering them an £85m ladder for someone like Mason Mount would be probably be one of the worst moves we could make. Same goes for McTominay, let them find other mugs to offload their home grown to.
-
Hang on, it's not real is it? They're not actually going to play in that, are they?

Spaletti Should have made it clearer, sorry

3 x Class A - £40m plus each - stars - Botman, Bruno etc 2 x Class B - £20m each - solid pickups - Pope, Trippier 2/3 x Class C - £5m each - potential/youth - from lower leagues - Ashby etc 1 x top quality loan - if Man U and Chelsea can loan in Sabitzer and Felix then surely we can get one in too. Position-wise I think we need to be a bit flexible but some areas need to be addressed this window - LB, CM/DM, RW. After that we need to think about trading and moving players on as and where necessary. Contract situations will come into things and it may make sense to make big decisions that may be initially unpopular - selling Wilson/Longstaff or something like that. I'd also consider decent money for ASM, Almiron, Murphy, Burn, Lascelles and Targett provided they're replaced on top of that lot above. Obviously there are another half a dozen that need to leave for the benefit of all parties - Darlow, Lewis, Fraser etc. This window is all about trimming the fat, removing the squad of players who contribute little/nothing, next season is going to be pivotal and each one of the 25 needs to be as fit, motivated and good as possible, can't afford to carry a single one of them. Looking forward to seeing how it shapes up over the next 3 months, big task but I'm confident they'll deliver

Horncastle mentioned it on Golazzo last night. Something like he's got an optional year agreed but if he decided to walk then he's effectively on gardening leave for a year. Something like that anyway, was only half listening tbh

Like, say, 'fair market value'?

Not a cat in hell's chance a genuine top manager will want to work with that gutless rabble of a squad. They've been on the decline since Poch left and Kane's (and Son's) constant supply goals have kept the stench in for the last 18 months but even that isn't enough to disguise the smell any longer. That club is fucking rotten, it needs completely gutting from top to bottom. Take Kane's goals away and they're bang average, mid-table fodder with a lush stadium. I may be being harsh there but that's my view on them from the outside.

The agreed a joint fee for the pair of them but officially it was done in such a way as to protect Juve and scam the prior owners. Sure that was the plan
