are they new levis ? fattest man on earth if you're talking about waist sizes like.. just can't be a*sed to put the dashes in.. you get what i mean.. were 501's etc to do with waist sizes ? anyway, the good thing is that if martins goes it wont be for the club needing cash but the manager deciding he's expendable. Got to admit mind i'm very 50-50 on martins,he's aplayer that can be s*** yet still get you a goal out of nowt and doesn't seem a man utd sort of player.

any player found guilty of diving should be dragged into the centre circle at the end of the game and his bare bollocks whacked with a table tennis paddle 4 times by the captain of the opposition........(i realise there are many players who would pay for this "service" for them i propose a 6 game ban).

Old thread about a potential Icelandic takeover bid years ago
madras replied to Power NUFC's topic in Football
takeovers are like buses.....you wait ages for one then three turn up at once. -

took dinamo zagreb for later. my 4timer fell apart with anderlecht but psv almost paid that back. blue sq account wiped out for now, just over £40 in ladbrokes with a tenner on zagreb.

care to expand on that ?

not really sure it was down to the pattern, more so the personnell. we had a lack of guile in the middle which an emre or barton (he's better than the box-tp-box worker he's made out to be) can exploit. due to injuries and allardyce not wanting to use enrique yet we couldn't do the obvious in putting n'zogbia wide left to change things. having said this n'zogbia picked up where he left off last season in the final third.
-
is that ironic ? In what way? in the way that i was wondering if you meant it as an ironic comment ?
-
he's probably earned it,call up for a friendly that is.massive balls up on staurday dallying on the ball and getting caught, chalk it down to experience.
-
I heard it on Setanta. Madras, do you really not think Allardyce will get it right? sorry, read through it too quick, only actually picked out the villa bits,i don't hink o'neill will get it right (i'm a well known o'neill is 'overrateder')

so you're playing emre and barton in the middle with duff out wide.

and it's 1972

Having good defenders play like that does not mean you are playing defensively, it means you are defending well. To be honest, with what they were up against today, Mellberg and Laursen barely got out of first gear. Laursen won absolutely everything in the air the whole 90 minutes. I'd also point out that there was one team hoofing the ball up the pitch aimlessly, and it wasn't Villa. We're the away team, that's what away teams do - soak up pressure, hit on the break, especially when they have players with pace like Young and Agbonlahor. I'm struggling to think of Carson having to do anything other than Rozenhal's shot on goal which brought a save out. Conversely, I can think of Carew's shot, Harper tipping NRC's shot round the post, Laursen's header cleared by the keeper, and Agbonlahor shooting rather than passing to NRC for an absolutely certain goal. It is a bit too easy to say "they're a defensive team". We haven't even got a right back at the club, FFS, we had a 20 year old midfielder playing there, and he barely had to break sweat. And why criticise mdifielders for tracking back to defend? Oh, and ironically, I thought we gifted you midfield. Your MotM was without a doubt Milner, he looked absolute quality. The only other one worthy of mention was Zog, i thought, who i think will be a big player for you if you handle him right. Viduka was awful, I thought, although I still think he will turn out to be a good signing. Overall, I thought it was a mediocre match between two sides who still have a lot to do. I'm happy with a point as we're basically hanging on squad-wise until MON does all his business on the last day of the window. The booing was sad to hear (although, I'll admit, there were boos at full time in our match last week, which is remarkable, although I suspect they were aimed at the ref), but you've got to give Big Sam time to put things right, you really can't expect him to come in and wave a magic wand and make everything OK. He'll get it right. agreed. except the last sentence.

I remember hearing "Lee Bowyer, Lee Bowyer, Lee Bowyer" quite a few time at SJP. come off it,some isolated shouts, you would never say you heard his name chanted in any significant way.
