foreign holiday and a new kitchen (though the kitchen may have to wait till the autumn/winter)

I doubt it, it would be like insuring somebody with terminal cancer, it just wouldn't happen. Why couldn't a club insure a costly investment against things that may mean they lose that asset? the club probably could...if an insurance company would take on the risk (which in barton's case i doubt they would) EDIT...sorry..mick just beat me to it (by 15 hrs)

keegan walks ? well lets examine that...he left us first time round ,he says due to the changing way the club was being run due to the club becoming a PLC and he couldn't do it the way he wanted...if true,it's a very legitimate reason. fulham...left to manage England...legitimate reason England....left and looked a broken man. couldn't hack it and realised it. this was a walk out of the kind he's accused of. citeh....he says they wanted him to commit himself to longer,he didn't want to. so they wanted someone in long term. mutual agreement....legitimate reason if true.

They wont make such a DVD. What happened to the DVD of last season? It's the first time for years that nothing's been released. an end of season DVd would have some fantastic goals on it.......against us i'll grant you but we have been on the shitty end of some great goals.

i was there. when brock went in kevin scott took it on himself to be his minder and he bullied speedie out the game (why he couldn't have done it earlier we just don't know). stan seymour jnr died that night in a birmingham hotel.

winner against leicester away, there was never a bigger goal for this club I think we would have still stayed up if it finished 1-1 at Leicester. As such i think Kelly's goal was the big one. cou;d've got beat at leicester and still stopped up as other reults went our way. we weren't to know that at the time. for those that weren't there, not only did we secure our own survival that day but the leicester fans turned uo for a party as they could've went up that day.

and we slag them off for bias when they say it about man utd etc

you listened to the interview...thats the difference, many just pick up on the tiny snippet fed to them by the media.

10 years ago weekend gone we beat barnsley in the 6th round on our run to the cup final. barnsley had knocked out man utd in the previous round. moral of the story....get your money on barnsley should they draw a big name in 2018's fa cup.

he was a beast in that one.. one of the best defensive performances i've ever witnessed and also one of the dirtiest performance by his oppo in that game, concecao (sp?)
-
wow spooky, i went but was iffy till the last minute due to my wifes pregnancy (just had a threatened miscarriage). bernards performance, horrid gamesmanship, cowardly italian fans and police. oh and thanks fat fred for being there, acknowladging the flare thrown into the NUFC fans but refusing to bring it up officially.
-
even if he says the right things you'd say "all talk, just words, he needs to do it on the pitch" quite bitter about him aren't you ?
-
He was probably asked "Do you fear England ommission?" And he probably rightly replied "yes" Should have had the balls to say "No comment!" twaddle
-
slugsy & skirge. the point of the reserves is to give the players a step up. the list of players who look good at that level but fail the step up is endless (especially at NUFC). the good manager will see through this and promote those who can cut it. first team football in the championship is a better guide than reserve team football and by all accounts (I only saw one preston game) carroll couldn't cut it there. maybe his time has come, maybe he needs more time, maybe he'll not cut it regardless. i'm pretty sure the people who watch him day in and out have a better idea.

the good of the club ? Avoiding relegation ? Hoping they will match the best positions of the old board, as a minimum ? Take your pick How will blindly sticking up for the old board's shortcomings achieve those things? Can't wait until we qualify for the Champions League again, just like the good old days. Remember them, instead of buying average johnny foreigners and looking at the balance sheet and declaring such acquisitions to be "good business" Do you think that the old board, if still in charge would of matched the CL qualifications that they'd previously achieved? Im struggling to debate with you becasue every question i ask you fail to answer. Its like nailing diarreah to a wall. Do you fancy humouring me. In fact if you fancy exaplining to me why Keegan said there was money to spend yet we didntbuy and who's fault that is, feel free to as well. It hard for me to see what the board has done that directly relates to the situation we are in now, we had a better squad then at least 50% of the teams in the prem. SA recieved a decent amount of cash and it was in his hands to prove that he was capable of spending more of Ashleys money, but he failed. I've humoured you enough, and I'm trying not to draw comparisons to be honest. All I see is a s*** chairman who has put prudency before the quality of footballer [which you supported] so those who advocated this approach, despite us having one of the biggest fanbases in the country, have nothing to complain about, while you still whittle on about clubs with vastly different circumstances to ours when asked about how much debt we should carry ? you mean clubs with smaller fanbases than us ? Nice to see you ignore the FACT that this club was nearer to administration than it ever was in 1992, when the Halls and Shepherd saved it. Why do I have to keep telling you this, can't you read ? smaller fanbases yes and completely different situations (blackburn=jack wlaker trust....boro=steve gibson...nufc= errr who put their hand in their pocket ?) yes the club were closer to administration.for which i'm thankful to them for saving us. does that mean i can't say it's time to go when we go backwards on and off the pitch for 3 years ? If there is no major rebuilding done in the summer you'll have a point, you'll be vindicated....however you'll look a mug if the manager is backed well.

has Mort popped his cherry. Who gives a s*** what the chairman does when you are playing in an FA Cup Final. Did you give your ticket up and stand by your principles ? I bet you didn't. me....cup finals are nice but prove fuck all.

in a way i'd like cardiff to win it. there'd be a certain irony in it for us.
-
wonder if yorkie will be kind enough to fill us in on the remaining games ?
-
i can see us getting the next 6 points.
-
derby, fulham and sunderland sunderland based on their remaining fixtures.

so you think we'd have beat bolton because they wouldn't have been so defensive......logic says bolton would have won under those circumstances.
