  1. don't the team that win the league only win it because all the other teams are worse ?
  2. Calf, aparently he's very concerned about turkish incursions into northern iraq and the turkish governments recent repealing of secular mandates.
  3. for centre halves i'm going to mainly go on the defensive issues. had the game been at home i may well have gone cacapa
  4. . harper geremi beye taylor enrique milner faye n'zogbia duff owen martins
  5. hopeful. opposite of wullie in that i think the brum game could be massive for us, a game where we could get a point or 3 then on to fulham at home in a lot more positive mood.
  6. Can you honestly say you've seen enough of Zamblera, Tozer, Kadar etc to justify this "team" of yours. And the fact you've got Tozer and Kadar's positions wrong says it all tbh. Tozer is a CB and Kadar is a LB, in fairness to him. Martins as a right midfielder, however... I thought Kadar was a CB and Tozer LB? far too early in their careers to say either is a full back or centre half. defensive players fair enough but to pigeon hole kids that early can prove detrimental to the player.
  7. i thought it was all the same thing...ie players who are very effective without having ball skill in abundance. those that have both often are the best.
  8. You don't think it means anything? fundamentally yeah, football moves too fast for intelligence to be a factor if you ask me - there's simply a level of natural reaction to a situation, an ability to see what's around you faster than the opposition or your peers that is not intelligence, it's instinct Rubbish, tbh. aye? rush and lineker, two of the best goalscorers in the 1980's were considered poachers, instinctive goalscorers, not intelligent players...were they or were they not? zindane was considered an intelligent player, when i watched him i always thought of how much he improvised in situations rather than planned, so to speak...that's instinct not intelligence lets call it "nouse" then eh ?
  9. martins stopping and playing midfield ? and i don't think that team would come straight back up.
  10. A lot of s*** from both on the pitch and in the stands will be cleared from the Club. It will be the ultimate price of ridding the Club of Shepherd/Halls. How many folk would have taken a season in the Championship to rid the club of these verminous c***s? thats not the position though is it.
  11. the role of beardsley was always overplayed for me,lee and sellars being just as important.(infact sellars the more important for cole for the first season up) Liverpool at home in particular. You know what I mean though Madras, Pedro was a dream for any striker to have as their partner, so unselfish, read the game superbly, everyone of his partners throughout his career have all said exactly the same. agree to a point i just think the pedro role is overplayed a bit. the football of the latter part of that season was the best i've seen in my time.the season we nearly won the championship was very good but it didn't have the buzz and movement of that first season up.

  13. drill into him to work the channels then his control isn't as much an issue as he'll be taken the ball on the run instead of back to goal with a centre half forcing hiom out. FUCKING BASICS.

    Terry Mac Yesterday

strange thing is when i used to take my nephew to watch them training terry mac was as involved as anyone but he still took stick off the fans for doing nowt. possibly just cos he sounds thick when talks, people taking notice of how he says things more than anything else.
  15. look lads there's a goal over my shoulder but the rest of the pic is a net...we must be able to score in that."
  16. the fact that it's a derby has nowt to do with it...in seasons when we are the better team we get a result. in the seasons when they've been the better team they get the result...form works in these games and for all our form is poor they have yet to win away and have only 3 draws.....result...draw or home win.
  17. keegan........."we're ready for murrayfield at the weekend now."
  18. i go along with most of that but i think we have may chance picking up a point at west ham and portsmouth than getting anything against chelsea. birmingham is winnable on blackburn form. im optimistic (if i had to bet i'd bet on us staying up.....and i've bet against us on several occasions...fuck off with the booing, money is season ticket money)and not making a noose yet.
  19. dunno. i think when it reaches 50 pages it should be given it's own forum.
  20. if it wasn't for the fact that it's a derby what would you think ?
  21. i see a tango orange but i was looking for yellow if you get my drift.
  22. if you just want a particluar six out of the ten you'll have to do it as a seperate bet.
  23. It only goes up to 2006, but how are these clubs still in operation with year on year losses? Villa Blackburn Everton Man City Boro keep going like that and thay wont be in operation Did you even look at 'boro? Losses for 12 out of 13 years. Total losses of about £150m. I just wish Delima was around to say how great they are. maybe, in line with his signature, he should show us some links to the gross mismanagement of the smoggies by the great Steve Gibson then i'd like to see if their accounts show they are about £150 million in debt.....and who to ? I have to say I was surprised and can't quite believe myself, but that site does look like it knows what it's talking about (it's accurate about our figures), so I don't think it's just making it up. i'd be very surprised if gibson wasn't the major creditor with the banks much lesser so. like a chelsea with smaller numbers.
