There will be details and reasoning to such clauses to which we aren't privvy to. It does seem strange at first glance but not if it's to mitigate against points deduction or if it drags on beyond January and any new owners ability to affect things through the transfer window diminishes.

I know the way buying and selling works with low initial offers and higher than value asking prices but even given that, it seems like a huge gap between the two parties that even negotiation or compromise may not cover. 27 is actually a bit of an iconic number for NUFC.

They have Reading, Fulham and Birmingham at home before the turn of the year. Be nice if they could go a calander year aswell as 12months without a home win.

Its possible this sale has been going on longer than has been made public. It certainly makes sense of Rafa staying on after the last summer transfer window.
