While that's true I need to hear daily that everything is still OK. In fact Daily is stretching it, hourly bulletins would be better.
-
Sports witness I know but the original article is posted and Liverpool do get mention. Sorry but beyond ordering up to 8 beers and asking for a kiss, my Spanish is limited. http://sportwitness.co.uk/rafa-benitez-hints-return-managing-liverpool-puts-job-pot-spain/

Marca's the original source though... True but seems a strange thing to add in if wasn't said.
-
Or it was in the original and Marcas edited the Liverpool bit out. The 90mins article (crap site I know) is earlier than the Sky Sports bit.
-
It's quoted in the 90mins website version of the Marca article.
-
The Marc's article doesn't mention Liverpool you little tinker.
-
Where's the quote from anyway or is JoeyT on the wind up ?
-
In fact why even say that ? If a player said similar he'd get slaughtered on here.
-
It's not the Spain bit that's the worry, it's the Liverpool bit.
-
West Ham, Swansae, one of Brighton or Huddersfield.
-
Forest Green man, that's two weeks off the trot now the mulch gobbling twats have done me.
-
This. Everything is going far too well. Had this week been normal, as in a normal Ashley ran week I'd fancy us, but now, on the back of all this possible rosy future, no chance. Nailed on Palace win.
-
......and buy Palace!
-
Didn't see the first half live and just watching it on MotD now and he wants pelters for that corner that Van Dijk beats him to at 1-0 to us.
-
The host is a Mackem and most of their pundits are failure managers/players from our past who got a hard time from the fans. Commentators ? Watch the last few minutes, they have a corner "Can Southampton drive this home for a winner" type stuff, a minute later we have a corner and none of it.
-
Aye he's expecting it to go to his right you can see him on his way already and it's understandable. A better keeper would have better reactions to get back over. He's not crap, just average at this level.
-
Not as if it snuck in close to the post either: It's not a complete f*** up, but he should be doing better. He's just massively average. Bring up a shot of where he is when the shot is kicked, gabiadini has brought it in field a yard or two and I'd guess Elliot has moved more to the centre on that.
-
At first I was blaming Manquillo for the goal, not being close enough and because of his positioning Elliot's thinking if he gets a shot off it'll come the other side. I don't think it's a clean hit and I'll bet if he's asked Gabiadini would say he wasn't particularly aiming anywhere in particular, ie bottom right, just hard and on between the posts. Hrad to blame anyone too much under those circumstances though Manquillo could've been physically pushing him out still.
-
Bold, if not rash statement.
-
Would've been happy with a point at the start but miffed we didn't get all three now and my, aren't we hated by commentators!
-
Who's going to want to take over a club in that situation ?
-
Thats what I was thinking, even then it was Spurs after we went down to 10 men. He’s obviously not taken any notice of us (and possibly other teams) and assumes that we are weak team because we are newly promoted. Or watched the Brighton and Huddersfield games. FWIW I'm going 0-0 or first goal the winner.

No contracted debt was hidden, it was in the accounts. The issue was that, on a change of ownership, the debt contract said that the debt could be called in. And once there was a change of ownership it was indeed called in. Barclays seized the opportunity and ran. There has been debate on here as to whether Ashley should have known that would happen. Yes he should - but I don’t think he did. Thick as mince in transactions like the one he did to buy us, no previous experience is my take on it - others disagree I know. But none of us has a fecking clue what was in his head at the time tbh. Any sane person doesn't put that much cash up to buy a sports organization without doing their due diligence. He could have easily paid that loan off and then went to any one of his preferred lenders who work with him at SD and gotten a larger loan to offset his equity some and likely gotten some decent terms as it was 2007 when i purchased the club and the world didn't fall apart yet. Only person to blame wasn't anyone but his. We were more than fine generating our own cash flow to cover that debt or replacement. Disagree with most of that. In the context of owning a football club would any sane person employ Joe Kinnear twice? I do not think Ashley did any due diligence. There was some due diligence done around that time but it was by a hedge fund who didn’t appear to like what they found. And if we were more than fine generating our own cash flow to service the debt why did Barclays get the hell out when they were earning an excellent interest rate on the debt? There was 2 or 3. One was a fund that I think you wetre referring to, Octagon or Pentagon. All looked at the books and legged it.

My Steve Watson story (it's probably already in here somewhere). When Fantasy Football was all the rage we ran our own league meaning having an auction which we had in the Barley Mow (much lamented Quayside drinkery). Someone mentioned Watto and we didn't know to put him in midfielders or defenders til the barman said "ask him, he's over there". So we did, he was, in local parlance "geet canny", saying he didn't know, he'd play in goal, would play anywhere etc. About 10mins later on his way back from the bog he asked "How much did I go for ?"
