But what will this prove ? If they were to have a float at an anti-racism rally, you could understand that. But at a gay rally ? Where are the pluses ? Recruitment of new supporters amongst the gay community ? Hardly. As the gay community themselves would probably say, you are what you are. Sorry, but the imagery of this is just too amusing for words. Presumably to counteract this kind of culture http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2010/feb/10/can-gay-footballers-come-out Football clubs have been deliberately seeking marketing advice on how to give their club a 'straight' image in the past and while we can have black and asian footballers, no gay footballers in any professional leagues have felt able to be honest about it. If clubs dare to do things like this and are at least slightly active in gay communities, it might change how fans think about the issue to a degree. Would be pleased if Newcastle did the same.

Fuck it, why not? I'd be happy to give it a punt.

You have to use context when lip reading to estimate what's being said. The words 'fight' and 'flag' can look exactly the same, for example, so you have to decide which it is by the words around it. You can't just look at someone's mouth movements and get an exact transcript of what they said without having to fill some gaps with intuition.
-
I've no doubt that's what he said, but lip reading isn't the exact science some people seem to think. A lot of the sounds are made within the mouth and two totally different words can have the exact same external appearance. Which can be used to comic effect. "Joe Biden" — A BLR Soundbite

It was a nice touch to give it Suarez's teeth.

If you imagine the blue stripe on the shorts is actually a continuation of the shirt, it looks like they've got a pinny on front and back.

Did they not learn when they were comparing their champions league winners to our "no-name frenchies"?

It's still correct, as in the link above

Quite amazes me that some fans can be so monumentally moronic (or bigotted if the truth be told) in their saying Celtic fans are any less of a bag of dog turds than Rangers. In fact, I'd just bet that Celtic are no more "honourably" run that Rangers at their worst. They've just hid it better. There but for the grace of a competent auditor and all that. They've not hid it that well, paedophiles. When I dared ro suggest to a Celtic fan they'd misbehaved when they came here I was basically flat out called a liar and told Celtic fans were welcome everywhere in the world and were famous for being the best behaved fans anywhere in the coutnry.

Ah, 31st of July. Bollocks.

Why are they telling people to use hash tags on Facebook? Anyway, wasn't part of the release clause supposed to be that he can only leave for a cut price before the 30th of June? Must be decision time if there's any substance in that.

"In May 2010, we released a report that analysed leaked contracts and showed that Tullow (and Heritage Oil) and the British Embassy in Kinshasa had been lobbying for terms that would cut Congolese government revenues by over $10 billion – a figure equivalent to the country's entire national debt. There was also a credible report in a US diplomatic cable that Tullow’s then partner in Congo, Heritage Oil, was tasked with building relationships with senior politicians to ensure the lucrative deal went through. The result of this particular “Investment in Africa” would have represented a significant transfer of wealth from some of Africa's poorest to British and Irish investors. Elsewhere, from Ghana to Kenya, Tullow have worked against development outcomes by resisting calls for their 25-year contracts to be made public. Last month Tullow were on the backfoot again after a Corporate Watch investigation found that the killing of six Congolese by the Ugandan army next to a shared Tullow/Heritage exploration block was triggered by Heritage straying across the border illegally. Only following the release of the report – a full five years since the deaths – has Tullow promised to investigate what really happened." Fucking disgraceful that is like. Should be a government/football ethics commitee looking into this rather squalid arrangement Sunderland are entering into. Yeah, they're known dicks http://publicagendaghana.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=219:dr-steve-manteaw-sub-editing-mr-ebenezer-hanson&catid=25:ra-front-page&Itemid=34

The BBC legal the hell out of everything court-related before publishing or broadcasting it. They do it with the most mundane of local news stories, so there is no chance such a high profile article has not been cleared by one or more legal experts before going on the site.

We've got a Euro prediction league going at work and I'm in the quarter finals of the knockout part of the competition. I've just been sent the predictions of the guy who I'm up against and we've predicted exactly the same scoreline for every single match Czech Republic 0-2 Portugal Germany 3-0 Greece Spain 2-1 France England 1-1 Italy Not sure what the odds of that are. Anyway, as it's definitely going to be a tie, and also a tie on tie breakers like closest to correct amount of total goals, it goes to the tie breaker of closest to total goals in the last round, which is me. So I'm through to the semis before a ball has been kicked. And about to put a quid on an accumulator.
