  1. Decent article about politics in Spanish football http://www.goal.com/en/news/1717/editorial/2009/01/18/1066295/spanish-debate-the-politics-of-football-in-spain

    Sunderland...

Yeah good result for us, when we pip Spuds to a CL place by one point we'll be thanking the macums. ;) This is what is going to happen Something's going to happen to us or them based on goal difference and those 5 we bagged against them will come in to play.
  3. At least in that Sun article about Fat Head

    Harry Redknapp

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/mobile/football/teams/t/tottenham_hotspur/9174101.stm Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp has hit out at the club's fans after his side were booed off following the 1-1 Premier League draw with Sunderland.
  5. Moaning about it even being a yellow or even a free kick. http://www.readytogo.net/smb/showthread.php?t=538796 And the cheek to complain about the ref missing a handball against them
  6. Spurs let me down every time I have them as my banker on the prediction league, fucking useless spud bastards.
  7. Sounds like a line from the finale of a gay porno.
  8. Jack in Falmouth thinks Gareth Bale will enjoy another great night with two goals in a 3-1 victory to Spurs. Conor is a Sunderland fan and he's backing a 2-2 draw tonight. Conor fucking would.
  9. Looking forward to seeing how Hughton and this team fare tomorrow. We seem to have players, tactics and a formation which is adaptable to playing against a shit (or at least shit scared) team at home without falling into the trap of not having the urgency to go in for the kill, and to go to a difficult ground against a flair side and behave in a calm, organised manner, not panic and take our chance when it comes. Tomorrow is basically Sunday on a smaller scale with the tables turned. We're the team that's going to be expected to push forward and attack and Blackburn are going to be the 'well organised' and defensive minded away team who are going to try and stop us playing and wait for their chance to come if we don't make the most of our posession. What I like about this idea of Shola dopping back is that it allows us to change shape and tactics depending on how the game is going, without having to make a sub and maybe not being able to change back adequately enough if the game changes. As we saw on Sunday, we can even do it instantly within the normal ebb and flow of the game. We seem to be able to go from robot to truck and back again like optimus prime with just a quick "KUCKERCHOWAWAHWAH"
  10. Celtic's "Green Army" ultras seem to have more recently styled themselves along the lines of the Antifa hooligans you get in some European areas where the divade between local rivals is (rather than, say, primarily Catholic/Protestant,) characterised by one side being facist/capitalist/rightwing/nationalist and the other side being leftist/socialist/antifacist/seperatist. So the Rangers morons have their Nazi salutes and Israel flags (yeah, work that one out), and the Celtic morons have their Che Guevara banners, Palestinian flags and believe western troops to be imperialist baby killing murderers.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

Well, yeah, winning the domestic league is fine, but does Chris have what it takes to win the Champions League when we're up against the likes of Barca rather than just Arsenal?
  12. Chelsea in talks to leave Stamford Bridge and move to Earls Court http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2010/nov/08/chelsea-leave-stamford-earls-court
  13. No doubt the same type variety of fuckwits that were singing "Al Quaeda!" (to the tune of 'Ar-gen-teena! clap-clap-clap-clap-clap") at SJP during the last friendly. Looks like more than a few to me like http://img31.imageshack.us/img31/7510/capturevij.jpg Their proofreader must have been banned from the stadium already. EDIT: Even Newcastle fans can spell the name of their club right http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_BPBojSYFPDw/RvdrXftLEbI/AAAAAAAAAns/pJnlK120XPc/s1600/Celtcs%2BFeeder%2BClub%2Bbanner.jpg

    Sunderland...

It's basically one step above 4chan really, isn't it? Had a thought about something? Eaten something? Think you might lose at the weekend? Don't like mags? Why not make a thread about it?
  15. Fabregas had 27 failed passes yesterday, Tiote has had 20 in his NUFC career.
  16. Quite like the fact Man U are crying foul about them trying to 'buy the league' by lining up a load of £30m players and for being unsporting in the way they wrest those players from their current clubs whle playing the likes of Ferdinand, Rooney and Berbatov.

    Newcastle's goals: Nolan: 7 Carroll: 5 Shola: 3 Jonas: 1 Barton: 1 Ben Arfa: 1 Coloccini: 1 Sunderland's goals: Bent (injured): 6 Gyan: 3
  18. It's been too long without a catastrophic fuck up, he's due to do something like let some petty contract dispute see us lose Hughton.
  19. I'd guess his previous contract was negotiated on championship wages, so he certainly deserves a better offer now he's got us holding our own in the top flight.
  20. What length contract would people like to see him given? And on what kind of wedge?
  21. Here's what he said http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11661_6494969,00.html

    Sunderland...

They get a good result, we get a better one and the place goes on suicide watch and you'd think they'd lost. Sums up the whole club, night as well change their name from safc to The Geordie Hating Association. Who gives a fuck if sunderland win or lose? How are the mags doing, I need to know if I can celebrate like we've won the league because villa won or go and smash shit up cos arsenal lost.
  23. Dragged my food poisoning stricken body to the pub but only managed to stand with a lemonade for about 10 mins before I got sick of wondering which end was going to explode first and shuffled home. Kept checking livescore on my phone from bed, but it was all mixed in with feverish nightmares. Needless to say, the final score makes me feel better.
