The tabloids seem to go into more detail than the likes of the BBC. https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/14818754/christoph-metzelder-dodges-jail-abuse-images/ "FORMER Germany defender Christoph Metzelder has dodged jail after being found guilty of sharing child abuse images. The World Cup star, 40, was handed a ten-month suspended prison sentence after he admitted to having "extreme fantasies" and sharing pictures of kids being raped. A court in Dusseldorf today found the ex-footie star guilty of passing on 29 files with abuse images to three women via WhatsApp. According to the case against him, 297 files with sexual content featuring children or teens were found on his mobile phone. Metzelder told the court: “I obtained incriminating pictures that were freely available on the internet (and) took screenshots. “I shared extreme fantasies in chats.” He added: “I sent these pictures even though I know what unspeakable suffering towards kids in each of these files there is.” Prosecutors say the 2002 World Cup finalist passed on 29 pornographic files to three women via WhatsApp, including one featuring a toddler in a "highly sexualised pose". Metzelder said he had never taken part in "attacks on children and youths... despite the graphic comments in the chats". "It only took place in a digital parallel universe," he added."

I mean, I think he still has a choice not to collect send women videos of bairns being raped and describe in detail violent sexual crimes he wants to committ against children, no matter if he has somthing inbuilt going on in his head.
-
Wonder who he meant to send it to? Presumably someone who would have bene fine with it.

"The 51-year-old sent a WhatsApp message to Aogo, asking: “Is Dennis actually your Quotenschwarzer (token black guy)?” The Germans have a word for everything.

Antonio on MNF saying he's toned down or stopped celebrating because he doesn't want to look a twat doing a dance and then being told it's been VAr'd off.

I've been impressed with, and envious of, Man U fans standing up and actually fucking doing something. And yet... Maybe I've still got a chip on my shoulder about 96, but some of the older generation of Man U fans will be the infuriating Essex bandwagon jumpers who became football fans and Man U fans precisely because they were top dogs over the period where Sky made the English top division the super commercialised money monster which eventually resulted in things like the Glazers and ESL that we see today.

Was just thinking of this exact scene as I scrolled down the page And if that doesn't work I think we pull out all the stops with a major - and I mean major - leafletting campaign.

The guy one above me in the work league used his triple captain this week and decided to give it to a Spurs player. Ouch.

Abbreviating to "Man City" on a shirt is woeful, never mind emblazoned right across the front.

Hitchin Town rebranding themselves as Norwich.

11/10 is impossible, like dividing by zero - if he releases news this big the entire universe might implode in a logic bomb.

Cummings refused to resign and left on his own terms 6 months later. Trump refused to even accept the results of the election, and dodged two impeachment convictions. The press are some of the only people trying to hold those in power to account, but they've now worked out know that if they just ride it out people will get fatigued by it or assume it's just "fake news". No idea what you're going on about with Biden to be honest, I'm not sure if it's spelling issues or if it's not really a coherent thought.
-
If the Cummings Barnard Castle thing showed us anything, it's even if the media make it a massive story for weeks on end the only difference might be that you have to wait a bit longer for it to quietly go away.
-
People forget that the likes of Trump,, Johnson, Putin and Cummings have ushered in an era where nothing matters. 20 years ago you could show evidence of just a suggestion of conspiracy or misdoing and something would happen. I don't feel that's going to happen even if there's evidence Masters knew about the ESL or if he rejected the takeover on the advice of the Big Six. More likely to be "Aaaa-HA, we've got you now." "Uh-huh, so?" "Well, we've proven you're wrong'uns so the takeover can go through." *silence*. "Hello? I've said... we've got the emails, this proves.." *silence*.

Quite a battle between Newcastle and Sunderland from about 6 minutes 10.

Surely the last thing we want for the takeover is for the Premier League to clean up their act, sack Masters and Co and appoint some bastions of moral integrity, because then they'll not be willing to turn a blind eye to the fact that, let's be honest, no matter what shell company is used our de facto owner will be a journalist murdering, Yemini bombing, Bein pirating dictator? We need a happy medium between corrupt enough to wave through MBS owning a Premier League club for finacial reasons, but not quite corrupt enough to let the Big Six and the Qatar whisper in their ear to block it for footballing or political reasons.

But... They checked it at the time. Replayed over and over again and got it wrong.. And then two days later they look at it again and realise it was a bollocks decision? What's the point of VAR then?
